With some of the dreams I've been having lately I'm really beginning to wonder if my mind gets transported to some sort of alternate dimension when I sleep.

Has anyone else ever wondered about this?

Yeah its called you are in your subconcious. Yes it is a different dimension if you consider dimension and perspective the same thing.

Astral Plane, or Devaloka. Leads to the causal plane which "borders" liberation. The astral plane is infinite with possibilities and you can have any number of experiences there, of any type including the "far out" ones your describing. Dreaming is the path but during sleep we enter what is known as deep sleep in which the mind is completely void and we are in communion with whatever you call it. This is the true meaning of sleep :)

It isn't traveling if you are already there.

19 is a popular age on this Forum. Is it that YOU destroy 19, or does 19 destroy You?

My age was suggested to be seven.

I've gone into trances in a half-awake state. I believe it does show you alternate dimensions...

yep astral plane like has been said
according to rudolf steiner there are two 'states' of sleep, one which we call dreaming, and one which we do not have a name for, which are very different. . . he doesn't really describe this second one as far as I have read, but he does say that with proper training anyone can become fully conscious of both i. e. achieve "continuity of consciousness"

Yah, I often go to this same art museum in the middle of a wooded area that has a bike path going through it. Its got a huge room with abstract art in it, and it always looks basically the same. I've never been to any place that resembles it in real life, but I've visited it quite a few times. Its really nice. I wish there was a place like that.

One side is a big room with a high ceiling and all the art. The other side is like a gift shop with a lower ceiling that's up some stairs. There's a door in the art area that leads to the outside to a nice lawn that the bike path runs adjacent to. I think there's some art displays out there too. Its somewhere in the midwest or upstate new york out in the country where farms would be. There's a railroad somewhere by it too. I often mingle with people I've never met before as if I know them.

I think I was transported to Rome last night!

It wasn't a lucid dream, but I remember leaving a restaurant dissatisfied with the owner or chef. As I walked away he was on the roof barking something at me and I just waved my hand and said "arrivederci" (goodbye).

He said something else, then he called me an asshole (in a low voice). I slowed my walk for a second thinking about turning around, but I just decided to walk away and ignore it.

    -Two things here:

    1) I've never been cussed at, or used cuss words in a dream before!

    2) I've never used a foreign language (I don't know any) in a dream before!

I have used that word before, like 20 years ago. I just googled it to be sure what it meant. That's when I discovered it was a Roman word, and it did mean what I meant it to mean in the dream.

But here's the kicker.. He, and the other people I met later in the dream did look Italian. I thought they did when I woke up, and now I'm sure of it!

I've never been to Italy. I don't even remember the last time I thought about going there, it's been that long ago.

Oh, and those other people I mentioned? I think they were related to the guy. And while I was at their house (wich was being remodeled btw) an orange and white cat snuggled against my leg. I petted it with my hand that had a BROWN GLOVE on it. WTF, I don't wear gloves.

There's more, but this is getting too long.

I’ve travelled lands aplenty, seen wonders of historical legend and of Spectacular illusion that is barely comprehensible to that of the conscious mind – Having experience the night, and at times day, visions I have learned to accept, appreciate and even look forward to them – for dimensional transition is the way forward – just me then?
I question: When one wakes up, is it to the same time, space and dimension that one fell asleep from – hmm, food for thought
    :peace:

There was one time when I woke from a dream, years ago, where I felt like I was on the other side of the mirror. It felt VERY strange, and it took me some time to get over that feeling.

I don't remember what the dream was about now, but I sure as hell remember that feeing (mind and body)! I know it wasn't a nightmare that I had though.
