right right......im cant cut down on pot. no one i know has a cough like mine from herb. plus its my medication for my many ailments
it really scares me cuz i leterally held my brother when he took his last breath and it didnt make me quit. THATS IT!!i have 1 unopened pack. thats my last pack and im done i have to do this. as far as ur kitchen smelling like pot just make some gooballs or rice crispie treats. those never made my kitchen stink i dont think. and yeah 5 grams at least a day. i have quite alot at my disposal so i like to always be puffin. helps me out in alot of ways. mentally, physically, and spiritually. yeah it does alot of me. ill roll up a few king sized joints throughout the day and a bunch of bowls in between lol thank u for taking the time to rspond to my thread so thoroughly. thank you
first, do quit smoking cigs, i concur with everyone else on this. second, a vaporizer is a good investment for you. i have a vaporbrothers hands free myself, and i like it a lot. third, you have to address the cause of the cough, not the cough itself. what is causing the cough is years and years of serious lung butter. you have to get that shit out of your lungs. hubby quit smoking about 3-4 years ago, but has continued to have a severe cough and significant mucous production even when hes not sick. it has recently gotten MUCH better, after i convinced him to take some cough medicine (an expectorant, i think it was tussin) for a bout of cold/flu that knocked us for a loop this year. he previously refused all cold medicines. the expectorant hit him hard, but he coughed up a lot of crap thats just been dragging him down for years. wait until you get a crappy cold, since you'll feel like shit anyway, and give your body a chance to get the crap out. running will help with that too, but you have to remember that the goop in your lungs is sort of congealed, so when running you may find your lungs feel dry and raw when you cough. hot showers will help that. we have really dry air here, and i often find that a trip up the stairs will suck the moisture right out of my chest.
there are some natural remedies out there that help cleanse the lungs and bring up the stuff in there.. you may want to search around i saw one posted here on hf before but i can't find it at the moment
good luck, and if you cave in a couple of days into it and buy a pack, get a brand you hate. I went from half a pack a day to about 4 a day without really noticing just by switching brands, and i wasn't trying to quit or necessarily cut down.
If watching your brother die wasn't enough of a wake-up call for you I have nothing because that type of experience would trump just about anything in my mind, however-- I can identify with- albeit via distant memory- the power of nicotine addiction. Why wait for the unopened pack to be smoked? Quit now. This is like the New Year's resolutions that fail--- if it's worthwhile to do on New Year's it's worth it to do immediately- the occasion is just a stalling tactic- putting off a difficult undertaking simply for the purpose of putting it off-- because you "know" you're going to fail? Putting it off is just a part of setting yourself up for failure... the entire process awaits and finishing those final twenty cancer sticks will do nothing to mitigate that. The rationale of having already spent your money on the cigs... and ya want to get your money's worth- of what? Further injury to your lungs and circulatory system? What you described as issues taking hits sounds to me like you're well on your way to being in the same boat as your brother. You have to figure out how to thoroughly piss yourself off at the tobacco companies and program yourself to detest contributing to the money supply of a government approved group of companies whose product has very limited effects- that mainly being sicken and kill- slowly and painfully- not only for the victim but the family as well. You need your resolve and the decision that is strong enough to follow successfully through to being a non-smoker will NOT allow for the "one more pack" stalling strategy that just psyches you into not being equal to the task.
I quit the cigs after 30 years of smoking. I had the bad cough and such. I couldn't tolerate the fact that it was interfering with my enjoyment of bud. I figured why smoke something that will kill you just to feed an addiction to nicotine. Cough went away shortly after giving up the cigs cold turkey. Also try hot or warm tap water in the bong, believe it or not I think it keeps it from expanding in your lungs and making you cough. Good luck.:ssmokeit:
your welcome bro. Futuristic scheduling works man, pick a number and lower them down monthly. Lifesavers really helped me. Buy like six of them at a time.Good luck.
thanks everyone for all of your inputs. im on my last pack so today is my last day as a smoker. all your advice is much appreciated. love and light to all of you
