thank you! :) and i was gonna respond to your post about republican power down here. you just don't know how many times i've had to hear about "socialized medicine" in the past couple years from the same people who use free lunch, medicare, ssi, etc. the GOP sure does know how to play off their ignorance.

Getting back to this musical extravaganza, I wonder how big a sin it is to actually rejoice at the notion that others will burn.

If God exists, and I hope He does, it is difficult for me to believe that the God I read about in the Bible, and especially the New Testament, will welcome these people into Heaven. They are probably going to be in for a rude surprise.

You live in Mississippi. In 1961 John Howard Griffin published a book entitled Black Like Me. He was a white man who artificially darkened his skin, and traveled as a black man in the deep South. He said Mississippi was the most racist state in the United States, and the most dangerous for a black person to be in.

That was a long time ago. How are blacks treated in Mississippi now? Are they served in restaurants and motels? Do they get beat up if they don't show deference to whites?

Also, why do you think differently from most whites in Mississippi? Did your parents move there from the North? I was a child in Virginia in the 1950's. I did not like the way blacks were treated there, but it was probably a lot worse in Mississippi.

I think it's perfectly reasonable to become frustrated with fanatic religious types who condemn everyone apart from themselves and attack people the way they do for being "faggots" etc. If you look into the "church" they protest at soldiers funerals - shouting that they are all going to hell.

If you can't find that frustrating, then no one can help you!

but how is "faggot" different than "poop head"... haha think about this before you answers.. :p

    .. :D

As a Veteran I respect what the flag stands for.. even if the paperwork dont add up all the time.. Cotton Hill is a TV character and is not an attitude all veterans share. :d

All religions have fanatics.. Pseudo religions like counter culture/ hippies are fanatics too, most people that dont know any better will put these people in the same category as hippies. that I can see, is the only true negative...

Telling people they are going to hell just because they are gay, is very different to calling someone a poop head.

    I can't be bothered with this :)

I listened to about 5 seconds worth, and was forced to stop it and put on some dead.

Not only self hating, guilty feeling closet "fags", but also talentless.

When the Westboro Baptist Church only picked the funerals of homosexuals who died of AIDS, or were beaten to death I imaging a lot of Christian conservatives quietly approved. When they began to picket the funerals of American servicemen who died in Iraq and Afghanistan they lost that constituency. I personally do not take them seriously enough to worry about them.
