internships are a dime a dozen for smart and qualified candidates... no matter what you look like.

and yes i do know... i have an internship coming up this summer. and because i'm qualified and have relevant experience i'm getting paid too. (not cutting my dreads)

Yes you do know that internships are competitive yet they are a dime a dozen? Am I supposed to let that one slide...? Whatever.

Are you trying to imply that I'm not qualified, that I don't have relevant experience, and that I'm not getting paid? That I'm not smart?

What are you trying to say here...? Are you boasting about how cool you are because you have an internship where you can keep your locks?

That's great that you don't have to cut your locks. Some places have different policies, did you know that? I'm sure you did, and I'm sure you were ignoring that to be facetious/cast aspersions.

Thanks for the confidence boost, mate!

I already said you were trying to be facetious/casting aspersions.

So... like... yeah. You know that I know what you were implying.

Or is that vocabulary too advanced for you to comprehend without googling?

omg. way to stir up problems for no fucking reason.

so he cut his hair off for a job, so what? many people cut over less important things.

he prioritized and found his job was higher up than his hair (which is a VANITY thing).

so i support natty's decision in that he cut for a job and i don't see why some people are giving him shit over it.

jeeze, give it a rest already.

It seems that he cut his hair not just 'for a job' but for a career opportunity. I think that was the right decision. You can always grow dreads bro but you never know if an opportunity like that will come again.

hah he has friends. he posted a picture of him with some chicks like page 10 of this or something.

and since i'm ASSUMING he doesn't have a job as he is holding this internship in very high regard, he didn't have the money to pay them off for the picture ;) lolz

haha, good luck with the job natty. try not to stir up any hatred over there jk. :D

this thread was thoroughly hilarious. he made a big hype about defending the islarastian religion that he created for himself. said he followed 4/6 of the nazarite vow( fucking classic!), then he says his job is more important than the vow he made. lmao. classic.

    +1

Thank you Vig for reminding us what the flames are about - his proclamation of following the Nazarite Vow and then his defensive justification of his picking and choosing.

I don't think anybody here seriously has a problem with people cutting their hair for a job. The problem is saying that you follow a vow, when you're really just half-assing it.

    I don't believe that's what I said.

I can understand the confusion, since the last few pages are about your hair cut. The point I was making and what I think some people were forgetting when critiquing the posts that bash your cutting is that, 25 pages ago this started because of the 4/6 pick n' choose and wasn't just about cutting one's hair for a job.
