Ok i might be possibly moving to mendecino. If I did it would be a big change to go there not knowing anyone. Im going on 22 and would wanna work in a winery and take a night class or two. My biggest concern is not knowing anyone there and if there is a lot of kids my age there? I don't think its much of a college town. I like parties/people/drinking all that and was wondering if anyone has any input?

I don't know about their population demographics but they have some awesome campgrounds and GREAT beaches.

Ya I know ive been there a few times all a couple years ago. The campgrounds and hiking is awesome which is a huge plus and remember the air being so clean and crisp. Just kinda wasted an insiders view on living life and activities but your the only one to respond haha.

No one replied because Mendocino County is horrible - stay away - you will get nothing but bad times and heartbreak. In fact - I would recommend everyone stay south of the 38th parallel (SF). If you go North of that we are just a bunch of inbreds with no water or electricity. Really - you do not want to come here. Stay South - try Florida - I hear it's nice - :)

That is not true, Mendocino is great. Yeah there are some parts where you can meet some fucked up people but where will you not? The air is nice, I never had a bad time in Mendo actually. If you want to meet some great people its just a matter of how you hold yourself and where you go.

it's definately a unique place ill say that. yeah there are a lot of mountain rednecks, and if you're on the coast it's cold as fuck, sun never shines, and very small townish i guess. i loved it there, but after awhile i missed my home/sun. so i took the bus back to florida lol
