    Great actor.

I've always hated Easy Rider, to be honest - but he's done sooooooooo much, and always with talent.

Went to the same drama school as did Dennis. Guess I wanted to be another actor like him at 18 years old. He never failed to amaze. He was way over the top in Blue Velvet---just perfect Dennis Hopper. He'll be missed.

^ Other than the Bobby Vinton song, he was definitely the best part of the movie.

I didn't hold out much hope for him when it was announced he was canceling all of his plans to treat it. That's terrible news, though, no matter how expected. :(

Damn... And I just got back from a funeral...

A real loss of a fun actor!
My first film siting of Dennis was in 'Rebel Without a Cause.' He played a high school baddy. Does anyone know if he appeared in anything before that?

    "Listen motor running.
    Head out on the highway.
    Looking for adventure
    And whatever comes our way.

"Now I've got to go and make it happen,
Grip the world in a love embrace,
Fire all of the guns at once and
    Explode into space.

"And like a true nature's child
We were born, born to be wild.
    We can fly so high.
    I never want to die.

    "Born to be wild."

Rest in peace, sir. My thoughts are with all of your family except your ex wife. Hope you got your way on the will. Anyone who tries to sue a man and tries to get his kids taken away from him just a few short weeks before death is not human in my opinion.
