I am gay, and I don't act like this. Every once in a while a stranger will ask me if I am gay, because they say I talk like it. The thing is, I usually do not talk "gay"... if I am excited or really drunk I speak like that, and I don't know why. I have often wondered why many gay men act feminine in these ways. I understand that sometimes it can be annoying, but I really do not think most people can help it. It is just the way they are, and it IS normal.

And another thing... I am a gay male and take a lot of pride in being MALE. I do not wish I was a woman. I enjoy having a dick. I am a man.... that is the end of it. Being gay does not mean you want to be a woman.

    Great comments, TheSystemOrange.
Nobody would know I'm gay from any outward sign. Being an active professional in the art world is such that there is plenty of like-company and fantastic acceptance.
There seems to be a gay subculture of 20-somethings that enjoy eyeliner/tattooing, black-painted finger and toenails, body oil and sex galore. Looking at these young puppies I get the impression they are acting out a sexual identity role.

    People are who they are.
You don't have to like them.
It's also fair to say you wish they weren't the way they are-- that's your personal choice.

But there's not a lot you can do about it.

I love theatrical gay males...I just do...To me it adds spice to the enviornment...and I never get annoyed by such antics...

But I have been to some photo sharing sites where I think some of the males over due it...
In other words...their own natural beauty is enough...but they sometimes over compensate and due the exagerated female theatrics and make-up...which sometimes makes them look less attractive.

But on another note, many women don't and will never know what it's like to be a male, and to always have your 'beauty' marginalized...
As a male your taught early on to ignore your own beauty, and instead to worship female beauty...
so when male does discover their own potential to 'shine like a star' I can understand why they would be 'estatic'...cause they've had to hold it in for so long...and when they do let it out...it's usually just for short spurts...or events or settings...

So I think it's like a celebration, being let out of a cage of sorts...when your let out of a cage, you tend to be more excited than someone who's never been in the cage....
