I was just showing it to you I had already started the post before i saw yours

you're an ignorant bitch who needs to grow the fuck up and learn that life sucks most of the time. your parents just want whats best for you

I hope that one day you can learn to open up and learn to forgive

when you do learn those things i promise your life will be a lot better

and i told my story to give my mom props for trying to make things better and to prove just because your parents fuck up they are humans and should be forgiven

Hm, nice man. That's true. They are just looking out for me, but I'm not going to stop being the way I'am for anyone. As much as I love them. The dreadies are here to stay!

    Lordy...

Can't you both just accept that you have differing opinions and be done with it?

    :peace:

well why dont you sit down and talk to them about it and show them that there are ways to cover the dreads for work and that they are clean and tell them you love them and that you really just want them to accept you

You sound like a very spiteful person. Most of your posts are filled with unnecessary hostility and I can never figure out why you do it. No one needs to teach wild flowers a lesson... I don't think she was asking for one yet you felt it your need to beat on her until she accepted your opinion as hers.

Also, life doesn't always suck. In fact, I love life. Just about everything about it. You have posted on a few occasions about "life sucking, get used to it". I'm sorry your life sucks... I think most people love theirs and accept that crappy things happen, but that is just a blip.

And as for respect... that certainly has to be earned. My parents do not have my respect because they are my parents. Same as I do not expect my children to respect me without me giving them a reason to respect me. Heck, if I'm an asshole to my kids, then I likely don't deserve their respect and hopefully their actions towards me (or words) would help me to learn to treat them better.

I don't think you realize how mean you sound in your posts, and if you do, I find it terribly difficult to accept that you respect people the way you say you do. You do not treat anyone in the forum with respect. You jump on everyone for anything.

Perhaps you are different in real life than you are in the forum. But if you based your personality on how you behave here... I don't think I would want to be your friend.

    Now to the point.

Wild-flowers, if you are in their house and they are providing your livelihood, I would have to say that it is in their right to ask you to not dread. I have no idea why parents think dreads are so awful, but some do. Was there an ultimatum? I mean... if you find work, can you keep them? Is there any way to work out a compromise with them?

And I'm with fickle, my relationship with my parents got better after i left home. Maybe this is the small push you need to inch closer towards independence.

I waited to dread until I was older. I wanted to make sure that a job/parents/etc would not have me take them out. But see, it kicked me in the butt cuz I have wanted to take them out for my child's sake... lol It's all good now though. =) Good luck!

guess i act like this because thats how life has been explained to me my whole life I'm a harsh person because when i complain to people around me they tell me to get the fuck over it and deal with it. life isn't easy and its not fun all the time. and im not trying to be mean but i'm so tired of people giving other people pity all the time. I expect pity to be reserved for times of death and tragedy. i really just want people to realize dreads aren't always accepted and if you want them you better be prepared to face some obstacles.

idk its just like some of you guys live in a big fantasy land.

i'm honestly surprised this managed to get 10 pages in ONE DAMN DAY!

wtf? do you guys have like nothing else to do? i mean, jeeze, get a damn hobby and get off the computer. Spending a WHOLE day creating/keeping up with e-fights is just stupid.

and i read this whole stupid thing, and i can honestly say i didn't ONCE get the impression wild-flowers doesn't respect her parents. she's just trying to assert her independence one step at a time. and she is trying to get out of the house. in this economy it is more difficult to get a job and especially if paying for college etc and it also depends on what city she lives in as some places have higher living expenses etc.

i honestly can't understand why some people get so upset over wild-flowers threads... so she posts a lot of threads, so fucking what? its not like there's an e-limit or she's ruining trees or something. my god. if you don't want to read it, DON'T CLICK ON THE LINK!!!!

wild-flower: sucks your parents don't like your dreads, but i'm assuming you'll work something out.

dreadedsunflower: some parents are just crazy fanatics. i have two sets of parents (divorced and married diff. people). my mom's uber chill and my dad's a strict mormon type guy. so i can understand how her mom might be pissed about the dreads and threaten to kick her out (my dad's side.)
we all have different lives/opinions and pretty much EVERYTHING else too!

now everyone should just shut up and get along.

we don't need any more shit with this forum. we're all getting ridiculously into drama... ugh.

*puts on fake mustache, and bald wig...summoning my Dr. Phil powers*

how we treat others is a reflection of how we are handling our own personal obstacles. You grew up without a mother...youve always wanted a mother...hence you are desperately holding onto a failed relationship with a woman who doesnt deserve your time or respect. *ouch...does that hurt?* Youre miserable because of it and because of issues from your past that you havnt figured out how to deal with yet...and your only 19 and prego....stressed about new baby and how your gonna handle it.

Hey I dont even know you but can understand all your bitterness from just reading your posts.

I wont give you pity because from your last post apparently you dont want that...even though you keep reffering to how bad your mom treated you and how hard life is for you...instead Ill give you some "tough love"

Youd be happier struggling to figure things out on your own with your baby then living with a woman who made your childhood miserable. Do you really want this lady around your baby? So instead of taking all your hostilities out on the internetz.....log off....and take your life back!!!!!!!! Find happiness...you deserve it!!!!!

Wow....I know your gonna prob tell me to fuck off....and rightfully so....so now I will....lata!

*taking of mustache and bald wig...damn that shits itchy!*

Don't change yourself to please others. If it's something you feel is really a part of you, just keep them and face the consequences. I mean they won't actually kick you out because of your hair, will they? there's plenty of jobs you can get with dreads, people don't care too much as long as it's not all in your face.

I'd almost reply to that former post of you mandy :p but after the second one I think it doesn't serve a purpose anymore (although I dare to add dreadedsunflower's first posts in this thread were pretty valid, just taken the wrong ((or typical teenager??)) way). By the way, I'm not taking sides. I just think if you make a thread like this you should actually give some thought to the critical posts.
