There's this one 3 day festival in my city every summer, the northern lights festival in sudbury ontario www.nlfb.ca. Held in Bell Park. It's really fun full of great bands, mostly folk and indie rock. Lost of different foods, local merchants selling hemp and pipes and wind chimes and of course the other bigger companies with their tents as well. I volunteer the beer tent usually every year, brings in a fun crowd. Lots of people from all over selling their stuff and just chilling in the grass listening to the artists.. I'd say come for sure.

This is perhaps my fav festival in Canada. It's held in NS and is always a treat! www.evolvefestival.com/ Bands and electronic music.

This one is a bit smaller, but is in NB http://www.sunseekerfestival.ca/

There was another I had been to in PEI called "Shoreline" but I cant' find any recent info on it.

I couldn't tell you... I haven't been in a few years (I'm living on the west coast right now) and I went there for the bands. :S From their site I believe you can check out the previous artists and that should help. But trust that Evolve is a great great time! Best thing on the East Coast of Canada for sure! My fav atmosphere for a festival is Shambhala but I much prefer the music at Evolve.
