Thinking about Kitsap County...

Might be moving there...job possibility in Bremerton. Suggestions on best comunity near there? Thinking about schools, liberal, cultural diversity...

(Used to live in a redneck town in Oregon but will be coming from across the country)

 

Yeah stay out of Bremerton not a good place to live it is really dumpy

 

port orchard is really nice! i love it there. little bit of a drive to bremerton but you can always use public transport. only thing that sucks is it doesn't run all hours. but walking around that area isn't bad either.

 

Yes, I agree that Port Orchard is charming but have had some folk move their kids out of the school system there into Gig Harbor. Not sure why but they went so far as to check in to a motel to change addresses so they would qualify. Gig Harbor on the other hand has outgrown it's quaintness and is targeting tourist bucks big time.
