Like the ole saying goes: "Be care what you ask for, you might get it."

I heard this morning he kissed about $5.4 million goodbye. Don't know what it will cost with endorement deals. No way telling what the civil court actions will be.

A very expensive stroll into the stands.

Sad though... he was going to have a breakout season. He was about to take over the leading role from Oneal.

yeah, just wonder where the NBA will be in 5-10 years though....... they are losing all the nba stars for one reason or another.... did you know that 40 percent of the NBA players all have criminal records?? they already pushed away alot of people that werent into all that bling bling, and tattoo wearing, and showboating that the NBA pushed, and all they had were really the urban kids...... and with that last shindig in detroit, you gotta wonder if kids really feel safe with going to watch a basketball game anymore.......

there is no one now like magic johnson, dr j, larry bird, kareem, michael jordan......

who is there now?? tim duncan????????

who knows, maybe they will attract more people thinking that they can get a million dollar punch from an nba superstar. that would attract me for sure.

Hell...I would love to get punched by one of them.

yes, I agree... the league is not close to what it was before, which is why I lost most interet in it. The basketball is worsening, and the image the players themself portray also does... yet, this is the case in practicaly EVRY professional team sport right now.

ARe you talking about going to watch an NBA game? This kind of stuff doesnt strike fear in kids, it makes them more intrigued. If you ask a kid would they rather go see a basketball game or wrestling, theyre going to choose wrestling. If they had the choice to watch a video of a normal game or a game where a fight breaks loose, theyre going to watch the one with the fight.

Humans in todays culture are fascinated by violence. Almost obsessive. I mean honestly, barely anything in todays world is even interesting if it doesnt have violence twisted into it somehow. Movies, Television, Music, Video games. Im talking about main stream culture, what is fed to people.

I was listening to the radio this morning, it was mentioned from about 1915 to 1930, netting surrounded the court. Its function was to protect the fans from the players. Also the Refs carried guns. Don't know how true, or common, this was, but it makes for an interesting story.

The guy who threw the "Liquid", now they are saying it was water, has been ID. He is currently on Probation.

He's also the neighbor of the District Attorney for the county, who also happened to be at the game, witnessed the cup throwing and immeadately knew had name of the person throwing the cup.

If you click on the second link (if you have Broadband) click on "Hear What John Green Has to Say". His dog is only a little smarter than he is.

    Zing!!:)

No, it absolutely doesn't excuse a thing. Artest walked away from Wallace, and rightly so, but then falls for a sucker play by a asswipe in the stands. Hey, that ain't where the game is! He got played and then he played himself. Well, he'll have a while to think(?) about it. As will the others.

But HEY!! The ratings are through the roof! So it must be good for the game, right?

ron artest, indiana pacers....... has a rap album coming out tomorrow in fact. he has been a sore thumb for the NBA , has been suspended a number of times for losing his temper. and he wanted to take time off just for rest because he was working on a rap album, so the league suspended him. now he is going to get all the R&R he wants.

You're right. It was an uncalled for slam against John Green's German Sheppard. I apologize to his dog. I am truely sorry.;)

Am wondering now that the Peterson trial will be completed by Christmas, will this mess appear on Court TV?
