This is pretty much the only well known substance I never came across. I know people who have done it (but don't know how to get it now), and they thought the shrooms I used to grow before they made it illegal were more powerful but not the same experience. Anyway I don't really associate with anyone who uses anything harder than weed these days so I'm unlikely to come across it. Is there anything which can provide a similar trip which is more likely to come across?
You could try out LSA. I heard it's like 10x less powerful than LSD but it still causes some pretty trippy visuals. Psilocybin, Salvia Divinorum, Mescaline, and maybe Opium would be your best psychedelic/hallucinogens to go with.
Psilocybin is what is in shrooms! I've done a lot of different shrooms, it's strange how the same (apparently) chemical can have such vastly different effects in different strains. Anyway, I found one strain that was really potent and did it to death. Don't have any desire to revisit shrooms today... Salvia Divinorum: I don't know why, but this literally does nothing to me. Mescaline: And neither does this!!! Opium: Closed eye visuals, pretty tame, more like semi-lucid dreaming. Everyone says Lucy is such a nice girl, what a shame I'll probably never meet her!
I was kinda hoping for the "LSD magic", a lot of people seem to think it was the defining moment of their life, changed their personality completely, etc, all I can do is gawp and wonder what magic chance has denied me. IIRC isn't DMT that thing which basically picks you up out of this world and transports you to a different one for a bit? i.e. quite a bit more intense than LSD, and I never heard of nobody saying DMT completely changed their life...
I know, I just like saying psilocybin instead of shrooms. ''Shrooms'' sounds so..I don't know, disrespectful and mainstream? Maybe that's the word I'm looking for. Just ignore me, I'm strange. Anyways.. How much Salvia have you smoked all together? I heard some people say they hardly trip on it, and I've also heard that it took them to a completely different world. And I forgot all about DMT, I don't know why I didn't include it. I never had it myself since it's hard as hell to get in my area. I heard from a few of my dealers telling me that a trip on DMT is the best 15 minutes of their life. They told me they never had any drug be that intense before.
Hmm. Maybe the LSD life changing folk felt so passionately about it because they didn't try any other potent psychedelics like it and you hear about them more often because more people try LSD. I always thought there was something magic about it though, I've met people who told me they were shy introverts who couldn't hold a conversation and taking LSD once turned them into rabid chatterbox extroverts you can't shut up. Can't remember how much Salvia I smoked. The same as what everyone else did, we all bought it from a shop and burned it with windproof lighters in a pipe. They all tripped on it and couldn't believe it didn't do anything to me. So I bought it again on my own, a vial of 20x extract from the shop and tried it, nothing happened again so... left it alone. Same with San Pedro (eating masses of san pedro isn't fun) and Peyote. Have eaten a few and nothing happens. Maybe I've just been real unlucky and got bum product every time by coincidence! A infinite monkeys on infinite typewriters, etc. Thanks for the DMT suggestion, I'll content myself with that until someday, somewhen, I'll finally meet Lucy...
Oh, and I'm not sure about the ''LSD Magic'' since I only felt that on real LSD, but some other comparable psychedelic substances I named below: DET DOx Chemicals(But really, who wants to get into research chemicals posing as LSD?) Bromo Dragonfly(Though extremely hard to find, I wouldn't recommend it. Heard way too many bad trips.) Ibogaine MDMA MDA Psilocin Mushrooms(Not psilocybin) DXM Ketamine
Psilocybin is converted into psilocin during digestion so there is no such thing as psilocin mushrooms. They all contain trace amounts of psilocin and larger amounts of psilocybin which is converted into psilocin. DXM is not a psychedelic, it's a dissassociative, same with ketamine. MDA and MDMA are essentially the same although you most likely will not find MDA on the street. To the OP; how much San Pedro cactus did you use? My experience with it was the most profound psychedelic journey I ever embarked on. I used about a 36"long x 3"-4"diameter cutting to make tea. Was tripping for almost 18 hours.
I don't know if it's urban legend but DXM in high doses is rumored to inflict notable brain damage by putting tiny holes in your brain. Would probably try Ketamine if it came along, aren't going to go looking for it Not exactly psychedelics though are they! I didn't make a tea or decoction I just ate the cactus. And about the same size as what you describe (little shorter perhaps) except I ate it all so I wouldn't waste anything. That's the size the cuttings were sold as. I tried it a few times and with peyote (which was a hell of a lot smaller). Was a bit disappointing! Maybe I don't have some enzyme required to break the cactus down or activate the mescaline, I don't know anything about the action of mescaline. It's either that or I just got really unlucky with the cacti...
I doubt it has anything to do with you. San Pedro is notorious for being very inconsistant from one cactus to another regarding alkaloid content. Check you local hardware stores for it if you live in an area where it would grow outside. That is where I got mine, from a home improvement center, Home Depot, live cacti, two in a pot about 24"-30" tall each, $24.99. I was lucky to get ones that appartently are rather potent. By next August they will have grown back enough to provide another journey.
There is nothing quite like LSD, it is very very unique But for general psychedelics, you have lots of options, as seen above.
Cid most definitely has a unique quality about it, you won't find anything quite like it. LSA is chemically similar and easily available, though I wouldn't recommend it. Just not quality. I would continue looking into other realms of the psychedelic experience, there's intrigue, insight, and beauty to be found around many corners if you take the time to explore a bit
