most overhyped drug?

Alcohol in my opinion.
It's a primitive drug kept in limelight status by age-old tradition, a drug which by all means is worse for you then many other recreational substances considered "dangerous" and under restriction.

 

Man, I know what you guys mean with the coke. But for real you have probably never had good coke before. There is SO much crap and cut up coke everywhere but seriously if you get good coke there is nothing like it.

 

Ugggh coke is just a shitty druggggg... I know for real i've had good coke. I used the shit for 3 years with numerous people who consistently used it. I enjoyed coke at times but I find ecstasy/mdma to be WAAAAAY better. The price, fiendish aspect, short duration and way coke made me and those around me act does not appeal to me. The purity issue is just another factor why this drug is so lame. At the end of binging on coke I always was left with the feeling that the amazing night I had planned didn't pan out the way i envisioned it. Plus There are RC stimulants out now which i find superior to coke as well.

 

It seems as though some of you have misunderstood the question. It's not what drug do you feel is best or worst, thats irrelevant to the poll. The poll is what drug have you personally tried that YOU feel did not live up to the stigma and reputation surrounding it.

They all produce effects, and all can be pretty good given the right circumstances, but that wasn't the question.

Given that, I cast my vote for cocaine. It does what is advertised and all, but I just always felt that it's effects just never lived up to it's reputation.
Before any of you tell me I just had shitty coke, when I was around it and doing it was '77-'81, Cocaines glorious heyday when it was plentiful enough that cutting it too much just wasn't a feasible business choice, when it was so plentiful, if you sell crap you go out of business. Supply and demand.
The best I ever had was in '80 when for about 4 months a friend had a direct line connect in South America. Bought a quarter ounce once, watched it get cut off the brick. Nice light pink inside, tested to be 93% pure.
All in all though I have had coffee that provided the same stimulus and euphoria as that 93% pure coke.

As far as alcohol is concerned, I always felt it lived up to it's reputation, keep in mind alcohol doesn't have that great of a rep.

Cannabis has never been overly interesting; but it isn't really that hyped either All the other ones that I did that are on this list were even better then I expected.

you've tried pcp? I've heard PCP is amazing if its legit. I've done 4 Meo pcp and that was pretty potent itself.

 

Definitely coke. Everyone made it seem worth the high prices and a really good high, tried it twice and got little from it other than stimulation, no euphoria at all (I did do small doses, but given that - even if the experience did get a lot better with increased dosage, it wouldn't be worth the price).

 

I agree. a decent sized line of good stuff will hit pretty hard and make you be like "god damn" for a few minutes but its way overpriced and there are other superior stimulants to It these days that have a better all around high and not as bad as a crash IMO.

For me it was black, every1 always told me it was so amazing but the first time i did it i smoked 1 1/2 balloons and got a real fat body high then passed out for a few hours. i didn't see anything great about it. But perhaps i should have started with a smaller amount...?

 

Is black slang for heroin ? Or is there a way to smoke nitrous I dont know about?
