are there any female sportscasters?

Like, you know, that do the sports segment of news shows on TV?

That must be one of the few fields, if any, that is still totally dominated by males.

And I'm referring to real sportscasters, not the young bimbo with a mic inside the locker room after the football game (or the other bimbo they have on that dumb womanizing NFL show with Terry Bradshaw).

there are female sportscasters, I couldnt tell you names though, I barely know any sportscasters names. There are actually quite a few on espn.

Hannah Storm was one of the first to be successful. She's been on ESPN for years, and was on CBS for a long time before that.

Looks like there are some. Seems more on the national shows. I haven't followed ESPN much. That station seems to have a lot of giggling, hysteria, slap-happiness, etc followed by a lot of boring card playing that puts you to sleep.

I get a lot of satellite feeds from local stations but have yet to see a female sportscaster on the local news.

I was referring more to professional sportscasters as opposed to ones that are packaged like Miss Playboy of the year.

Perhaps ESPN should bring back Jill Arrington to give some legitimacy to women sports anchors
