I feel we are starting to go around in thought loops now but I have no problem to continue discussing...

What you said was my initial response to songremainsthesame. But using his example let's suspend logic, reasoning, and questions for a moment and accept the premise that this advanced species has indeed found the correct reality and they are trying to show us yet we simply can't grasp it.

I used this analogy in another thread. This scenario may be something akin to how if you flash a light or lazer pointer at a cat or dog they will chase the projected light even though that is not the true source and there is really not even a tangible "real" object they are chasing. So if aliens were to try and show us correct reality we would only have the comprehension and understanding to chase the projected light yet not be able to pinpoint the true source of reality.

There is a place inside ourselves that is real. It speaks with one imperturbable voice. It does not waver or wax and wane.
Reality is non local, nor is it remote. What is not real does not exist. Reality is there, what we see is not the depth and breadth of reality but choose a corridor of refraction to temporarily represent our concerns.

It's an interesting concept I suppose. Not much to discuss there though.

    Nice analogy, by the way.

Sounds like he knows what he's doing. If I had to eat dog food I'd smother it in something like syrup as well.

I've come to think perception is also creation ... like, we create what we perceive; as there must be balance in the giving and taking. Just who is the one creating ?

So, I'm kinda active part of the kitchen table I'm sitting at - the friendly structure that mostly consists of empty space yet nevertheless supports other structures like my elbows, the computer, cup, spoon, bread, knife, pens and papers ... then there's the window, sunbeams, crows and sparrows, blue sky, planes traveling in it ... past and future, and thoughts a million times faster than light itself (... not to forget Orison's maple syrup ;)). And still it is all just a fragile appearance of something else that I have no name for. And so ... I think it's not just the world that seems a mystery but we've got only glimpses yet on what we are.

"""The universe just exists because of how our brain perceives it, but yet our brain is just made up of matter of the universe. """ (op)

Maybe, if you consider consciousness being the essential matter or 'source of reality', the brain is only a facet then where the universe is another - like notes in a song, or spoons stirring a stew - where each holds a holografic image of the whole.

Geez i hope this makes sense

I Dunno u confused me but what came to my head when I read ur post was we create the universe not only within our mind but physical to. Maybe not individually but look around u chances are u are siting in ur room and tell me what do u see? A computer monitor the floorboards the god dam walls of ur whole house and even ur clause how did they came to be? Well they did not randomly emerge from the emptiness do to evolutionary processes or whatever. Rather some one had to imagine the plan of ur house the design of ur clauses...then make them it to reality so in a way even if ur not siting in ur own imaginary world ur are siting it some ones imaginary ideas that just happened to get approved for production line that ended up as ur personal reality.

Seriously look around how many object can u see that did not start within someones head and ended within urs through the eyes that u used to read this post ?

one culture disrespectfully cusses the physical reality as inferior to an ideal heaven of pure light . as they perceive it , this split universe exists .
what might they be trying to understand ? perhaps there are creatures of light who live here on earth - suppose there are two ways that life exists .

that cultural model of two universes seems human-centric , awkward and grumpy , yet , it might as well have come from knowing/feeling a real aspect of universal life .

The culture culls you from humanity, a pathological lie, promising salvation while delivering dis-ease. It is occult practice. Dress you in a suit like a voodoo doll.

    Was that directed at me?

If it was, you're not a retard, man. It was a serious question. I want to hear what you have to say.

I believe the perception from one human being to another of the universe is identical due to striking biological simillarities. One cannot deny that 99.9 percent of human genome is identical. Therefore the way we perceive physical world through the senses is almost exactly identical. The 0.01 difference accounts for emotional differences.

Very nice refferencing to Berkeley !!!!!!!!!!!!
