So I know someone who's been bumping 10mg dones. I told him i don't think it's a good idea, because methadone addiction is supposedly far worse than heroin (never been addicted to opiates myself, but did some reading).

anyway, his thing is he doesn't do it for consecutive days, and it's true he only even gets them once a week.

My question is (obviously every person is different) but how rapidly, and in what conditions does opiate addiction, specifically methadone occur?

    when should I be worried?

right now he's averaging 10-20 mgs a week, which I'm 100% sure is accurate, no chance he's lying.

if he can go 7 days comfortably without doing it, is it safe to say he's not addicted?

every so often he expresses a desire to do it, but it never seems like that kind of I NEED IT NOW sort of things.

    ?

popping 10/20 mgs of methadone a week.. is far from addictive behavior.. imo.

I personally think it's just gonna go downhill. That's how it starts, couple times a month, couple times a week, 3-4 times a week, then everyday. Just from what I've seen and experienced
