I guess it's pretty much common knowledge that the crews of the NASA Shuttles & Space Stations have to use specifically designed facilities when it comes to using the toilet, due to Zero Gravity - after all, they can't have masses of urine & excrement floating about all over the place can they, and they're often in orbit for months at a time - constantly being monitored on camera by Mission Control. As you've probably already guessed, this is the lead up to the next question - I wonder if they have facilities to accommodate the natural urge to masturbate, and what arrangements they have to dispose of the bodily fluids. As water is such a valuable commodity, urine is reprocessed all the time back into drinking water, but I wonder if the same applies to semen.
Contrary to belief, the urine is not use often as drinking water.. While the technology is there to recycle the air moisture and urine and make water.. Most water is transported to the station with routine visits from the shuttle.. In dire cases it can be used.. special clothes are worn to keep accidental release of body fluids into the craft.. IE wet dreams.. http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-spacediaper9feb10,0,932821.story Id say, at least you made a topic that made sense...
