No, this isn't your average "hey how long does it take for my piss to be clean?" post. For the area of study I'm going into for college, they require a drug test so that they can make sure no one will be a danger to have. It's radiologic technology for anyone who is wondering. But anyways after I'm accepted into the clinical portion of the program, they drug test, do background checks, etc.. My mom told me that they do a hair test and when I was there do scheduling on Saturday, they were going over everything and they didn't specify what type of test it would be. ___________ So, let's assume it is a hair test, if I stop smoking right this second, how long would it take for me to pass it? Is there anything I can do to help? Also, I don't know when I'll be taking it.

The average amount of hair grown per year is 6 inches. For most people it grows faster at diffent times of the year but in general let's say half an inch to an inch per month. So, that being said depending on the length of your hair you should be able to figure that out. So, if your hair is 3 inches long then you have half a year's worth of smoking recorded. Cut it short like to an inch and hope for the best. Now, just so you know the shampoos don't work don't buy them.
Basically a hair test means you're fucked unless you shave off all your hair right now and don't smoke, hair is a great record of things consumed by the body. Also if you have a full head of hair when you went there and a buzz cut the next time they might be a little suspicious. I've also heard of a few places even taking body hair samples.
I've done lots of looking into this subject, as I head a hair test as well, and this is what I've gathered. Basically you're looking at 90 days to be clean through hair. Someone did that math above, but the 90 day figure is based on how fast your hair grows. Someone else mentioned cutting your hair, and also if you had a head of hair and came back bald you'd look suspicious. Very true. Long story short, there was a group of about 120 of us getting hair samples taken for a test. The bald guy had it taken from his arm. Any hair is usable, but they like to take i think 80-120 strands. Anyway, as long as they can get that much, they'll take hair from anywhere. That being said, you'd think it would be clever to just take a nair bath and be totally hairless, right? Wrong. Not having enough hair for them to get a sample, they can deny you the job on the grounds they can't test you. I know that's how the company I was hiring for did it. Your best bet? Stop smoking. Other than that, I've heard you can basically "super clean" your hair. Supposedly when they look at your hair under scope, if it's super clean it makes it more difficult for them to see. The dirt and oil gives them a dark background of sorts. That's at least the way I understood what I read. I'm in no way saying any method you find will work as I've never done it. Best of luck
A hair test can get you in a lot of trouble. Depends on how long your hair is. I advise you stop smoking and get a cut. Also a piss test can be traced up to 2 months.
maybe if its a private school. even federal government tests can be passed after a week with a lot of water. shave your head and get a full-body wax? is that an option? so what if you come in bald, tell them you donated to locks for life or lost a bet. its not illegal to shave your head and wax your body.
