I had my first bf day since mid Dec. at the reserve yesterday, though it was a late start as the morning was quite frosty.

I got to do some barefootin today finally! First, let me say, a paper route is the PERFECT job for you if you want to be able to live a 100% barefoot lifestyle, and make money at the same time. The thing I love about it is that you are an independent contractor, so you pretty much make your own rules, and you don't have annoying co workers to put up with. I don't even know any of my co workers names, and due to the independent nature of the job, it can always stay this way!! Yay! Anyways, it was still a bit chilly this morning ~ 40, but I tried it barefoot. Then today, I went to check on the status of another job that I applied for, and I popped into my favorite Dollar General barefoot along the way. This sprint/summer/fall, I WILL at least do the month barefoot challenge ( I think I'll be able to go the whole season though).

    Cheers!

I can attest to having a paper route. I had one about 15 years ago in addition to maintaining a warehouse for the adult carriers. Early morning hours which means the rest of your day is free and you can wear whatever you want, including shoes or lack there of.

In the house. It snowed today and the 33 degrees is no fun.

Yesterday I had my usual tour to and from the office in fair weather with true spring temperatures of 21°C/70F - what I noticed is that people are more often giving me "The Look"TM for being barefoot the warmer it gets... same goes for teenagers' giggles - totally illogical.

Today I will be able to feel the mid-day sun on my bare feet, since I have to leave work early... some maintenance people are coming to my apartment this afternoon to check on the consumption gauges mounted on my heating radiators... note to myself: wear some clothing during the time-frame they gave me... :D

    Wiggling happy toes,

I know what you are saying, I 'm more at ease in Dollar General and Family Dollar stores than at a big store. I have shopped at DG in Desmoines IA. many times and the clerks just smile when they see I don't have shoes. I did have trouble at Family Dollar in South St. Paul MN. The clerk was a crabby old lady so I think it was just her with a problem. I've shopped there when she is not working, and even talked to the manager about it, and she said she said my bare feet are just fine for shopping! No problems with the FD stores in Iowa. It's getting warmer in Mn. so I'm thinking about going on a barefoot outing soon! Got get up some courage again.

Usually if the clerk looks friendly I let them know I go barefoot alot and once they are informed they seem to be expecting to see me barefoot! I have even had them ask why I'm wearing shoes, if I happen to stop there on my way to work or somewhere that I must wear shoes. Dollar General is great!

We all have chickened out from time to time. It's still best to leave your shoes at home so that if you need something from a store bad enough, you've got no choice but to go in the store barefoot. It sure does help to see someone else enter the store barefoot, it makes it so much better if your not the only BF customer. Especially at a store you have never tryed. Good Luck, hope to see ya shopping bare!

I've been doing a mall for a few consecutive days having no shoes with me (BF Fan is right there), anyhow the more I've hit that mall and walked past shoppers and into stores, the better I get about it. I think that the early spring concern probably gets us all until we do enough practice.

(Yesterday) I went into London and visited M&S (a department store), Hamleys (250 year old toy shop), the Apple store, an Irish bar, and a Japanese restaurant. :) I also had a stroll around St. James' Park and of course the London Underground is always fun.

I've been at home barefoot all day! I might nip out tomorrow though, if it's sunny anyway :)

I had my first bf hike of the season (late start 'cos of the long winter) on Saturday, unfortunately the other 27 hikers were all shod apart from the dog.
Those who didn't know me were incredulous, as usual, but also impressed.
One woman got a blister after a couple of miles, and the dog picked up 3 thorns, whilst i got just one.
It was about 13 miles, from Barton to South Ferriby and back.

Today my feet haven't seen shoes of any kind. I woke up, got ready, and drove to the airport. I parked, walked into the airport, went through security, went to my concourse, bought breakfast, and found a comfortable place to do some work before boarding. I got on my United flight barefoot, flew barefoot, got my rental car, and drove to my hotel. I went out to dinner without shoes and ran a couple of errands. I'm back in my hotel and will go to sleep in a while - having done all this barefoot.

It was about 75 today, so I went for a barefoot walk around the neighborhood and periodically took off my flip-flops while at a mostly-empty shopping mall with my friend. The tiles are as awesome as I remember. It won't be long before I go barefoot without bringing shoes again :D .
