Stockings cover up imperfections and make your legs look better. They're also elegant and sexy in their own right, just like other lingerie. And pantyhose keep you warm in the winter. With that said, I think if a woman has nice legs to start with, then her bare legs look better than any stockings. Plenty of men think so, too. I live in a warm climate, and the bare-legged look is very common here cause we wear shorts so much. A pretty sundress or shorts, nicely tanned bare legs, and sandals ... that's a very appealing look in my opinion.

I think this question was posed to the wrong sex. As for a woman's excitement/turn-on wearing stockings I can't address that. As for as guys, it's just one of those visual stimulation things. I can't explain what gets me excited, I just know certain things do. Maybe if I understood why things get me horny they wouldn't be as much fun. Fortunately the things that arouse me are all legal (e.g., no attraction to underage girls or farm animals) and within "society's norm" if that makes sense (e.g., no attraction to "scat porn"). Great legs really makes a difference. And while I can very much appreciate a great pair of bare legs...there is no denying that fact that I get far harder and hornier when i see her in stockings, tights, fishnets or pantyhose. I realize in warmer climates they aren't as prevalent, but as the sun goes down, if it's a night out for dinner on the town....a really incredibly sheer pair of thigh highs or stockings can add a huge element without too much discomfort.
