A dime is not a unit of weight, it is a unit of currency. 10USD will buy more pot in Tucson than it will in Chicago. Exactly 73.625 Shitload more, at current rates, for a bag off of the same truck that crossed the border at Nogales.

one simple answer as to why:

this is a new age man. we are trading in our common sense for machines to figure things out for us

    A dime bag is 1.7g?
What part of the world are you from?
    Here in Toronto:
Old school a dime bag was $10 and was .7g! (high school 10 years ago)

I was a Quarter Pound weekly mover for a few years.
    I offered:
    2 g $20 - 3.5(HQ)$35 - 7g(q)$60 - 14(HO)$100 - 28(O)$200
Only the good shit! I paid $600-700 a QP.
When I grew my own, I sold it for 160 for a HO and 300 for an O.

Now I have a straight job, and pick up the best chronic I can find, which is usually pretty damn good.
I smoke .2-.3g joints to get wrecked for 1.5-2hr..
I pay $220-$240 an ounce, and smoke a HO a week usually.

I'm in the USA, Alabama to be exact (as it says under my handle). I am talking about schwagg/mids here, not dank. I've always weighed pot like this, and so do most of the people around here, just some are morons (like the dude in my story).

    1.75g aka "dime bag" = $10

    3.5g aka 1/8th OZ = $20

    7g aka quarter OZ = $25-$40

    14g aka half OZ = $50-$80

    28g aka OZ = $100-$140
