    My breakdown is as follows:

    Witching hour is 3 am - 4 am
    Early morning is sunrise - 9 am
    Mid morning is 9 am - 10 am
    Late morning is 10 am - 12 pm

    Noon at 12 pm

    Noon hour is 12 pm to 1 pm
    Early afternoon is 1 pm to 4 pm
    Mid afternoon is 4 pm to 5 pm
    Later afternoon is 5 pm to 7 pm
    Evening is from 7 pm to dusk

    Midnight is 12 am

    :p thats just me personally... When I was younger I went through a slight obsession of figuring out when it switches from night to morning, etc. I included Witching Hour because it's one of strong interest to me. :)

    Morning=before night beings and how you define it,

    noon=12p.m. (...lol so whats after noon? achem achem)

    night=not morning and how and define it
    early morning=exactly after the 'line' in your definition of night is crossed, that is when MORNING begins.
    midnight=12.a.m. (technically there is an equal amount of hours before the night began and before it is going to end)
    evening=anywhere from 6-9 p.m.
