Time, is just going faster and faster, it's driving me crazy, when I was little 1 day would feel like a lifetime, now a day is a joke, seriously alot of my days only feel an hour long now. Its some sort of sick twisted joke god plays on people as they get older? The more you accomplish the older you get and the faster it doesn't even matter. Does time go too fast for you guys?
Days are very slow for me. But the weeks and months bleed together. Or maybe that's a mix of sobriety, unemployment, and insomnia.
My mentality is I don't like being high all the time any more than I like being sober all the time long term. But not being able to do drugs all together is fucking lame. I guess it's good that I know I can do just fine without getting high... but now that that's out of the way I just want to toke the fuck up. I want weed. I want Salvia. I want mushrooms and acid. And I want to try special k. And I want all of them tonight Sorry for the topic diversion.
I'm certain I read somewhere about a study that concluded time really is 'going faster' now than it did twenty years ago. Something along the lines of the Earth having a measurable pulse, one which we all are biologically and mentally tuned into - and that the pulse has been slowly accelerating, thus accelerating our perception of time.
Thats interesting shit grim! Yeah whay cant you get a good hook up sam that sucks. I mean salvia is legal just go to the headshop!! Thats awesome you like salvia its my favorite.
as your overall life from birth to the present grows larger, a day becomes a progressively smaller contributing factor to that whole. giving you the perception days go by faster. also, there is something to be said for what grim mentioned. the Mayans incorporated this into their calendar all those years ago
"it has been a law of nature from the very beginning of nature" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLc6i29yhDM"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLc6i29yhDM visit a conspiracy forum and you'll hear all kinds of theories on this very interesting perspectives out there everyone feels it
Maybe time is totally relative. Like, when you're under anaesthetics...it seems to pass for everyone else and actually no time passes for you. I want to figure out a way to black out during work, so that I seem to just make money for nothing.
it is ALWAYS now... no 'time' doesn't bother me... i really try to live in the now.. but it's difficult.
That makes me feel better. Notttt. I know it's because I am getting older, and I know that it's the way things work considering you get used to it so it goes faster and faster. I just think it's bullshit, I wish time got slower and slower as you got older that would be way more awesome.
I agree, time used to go really slow when I was a kid. Ever since I got married days pass by SO FUCKING FAST.. I don't have time to accomplish half of the stuff I have to do in one single day. in 40 years (if im still alive) days will last 5 minutes.
i have noticed that too freshie. like the older i get, the faster time flies by. it is kinda twisted. but then again, some days feel longer than others. but we all have those days right?!
Like deviate said, it's a matter of perspective. The older you get, the shorter a year will same. And like Mark Twain said, in 20 years, you'll regret the things you didn't do, not the things you've done. Go out and do something with your day.
