as mentiond somewhere before, i found yet another i like, and i keep saying no more.
what do you think of them...on woman most of all.
i know some employers can be funny about them still.
like in my old job in retail i was told to take my nose-stud out.
when i asked why, they said its company policy, unless u wear it for religious reasons. wich is not fair i think.
i think many people still judge a book by its cover these days...

I don't have any problem with tattoos on women, some look kinda sexy..

As for your nose stud, just tell them your a Zulu Princess and need to wear that..

    Peace

It's a bit broad to ask maybe if someone likes tattoos on everyone. Just because of the fact that some people get really naff tattoos. Personally, I love tattoos, I don't have any myself, but I've always wanted one. Tattoos on women do look good; but it again it does depend on the tattoo. If I were to mark my body permanently I'd want it to be something I'd thought about for awhile and was special and unique to me. Not just something done in a drunken haze, or something picked off the shop's wall.

I do think it's a bit sad that in this day and age, people just can't wear their piercings at their job without getting hassle for it.

Tattoos can be done well and they can be done badly. I don't think I'll ever have a tattoo, they're not my thing, but I've seen the odd few here and there that look nice, when they've had thought put into them. I've also seen dreadful ones. I don't particularly care what anyone does to their body though and I don't think it should be an issue unless you have something obscene tattooed on your forehead or something. Egg

That just made me think of the oldest tattooed lady, she is 70+, by the way.

My daughter has tattoos and they're very pretty, but she thought for a long time before she had them done. She has both back and chest pieces and one on her lower back. Because she's a Pagan she had the Goddess tattooed on her back and seahorses on her chest because of the subject she studies at uni...which is also her passion and life work.

Many people have admired them, but some make nasty comments simply because she's a girl and has tattoos. She works closely with her tattoo artist, and each design is unique. I'm seriously considering one myself...a leaping hare on my forearm...and I have reasons for my choice. Each to their own I say, whatever floats your boat.

raz5, I agree. I saw her on Russell Howard's Good News. She's really feisty and funny, too. Hope I'm like that when I'm 70+! :)

My last job had me take out my nose stud and I could never wear my hair up because I have a tattoo on my neck. The thing that bothered me the most about it was It was a call center, I sat in a cubicle all day and never had to see any customers. I love tattoos. Myself I prefer to get ones with meaning. I have 4 but they are all pretty small. I also have a tongue ring and a nose stud. I want more but I am trying to get into the medical field and I am sure that I will be judged.

i just got a job in a carehome, and i went to the interview with my nose-stud in, and they never said anything.
they havent seen my tatts, i have one on my wrist, and one running from my shoulder all the way down my arm, but shureley its not a sackable offence.
i mean what is the diffrence between nose-stud and earrings anyway?
cs thats what i couldnt understand in my retail-job, they said nosestuds are not allowed, but a pair of earrings is.
i think its more that with nose or eyebrow pirchings, they are worried u look intimedating to custumers.
i guess it does depend on the job. :)

It is very irritable that employers discriminate against ppl cos of tattoos/piercings/if you look a bit alternative….

I found that I got loads more job offers when I played down dressing like a goth and having more usual type hair….I think life is more interesting when ppl try to practice distinct creativity related to the way they look after all no one is really the same identically…

In responce to your question i do like piercings and tats...

Sidenote: I think this topic could fit nicely with a poll...
