I got a new laptop today... I'm pretty happy about it. But none of my Houston pals are dorky enough to appreciate it.

So what kinda computer do you dolls and gents have?

i'z got a ibm thinkpad

 

E Machines (gateway) desktop and a Compaq presario laptop.

Both are acting as the brains of different studios.

The keyboard shortcuts are awful. I always fuck up when I'm trying to type but I can't I can't complain since it isn't really my laptop. It belongs to my aunt and beggars can't be choosers. lol

 

I have had both of those.

They were the worst computers I've ever used. Seriously.

well we have had this Dell now for about 2 or 3 years,only problem? We lost the modem
to a lighting storm,other than that though we love our dell

Computer's are as good as their components, not brand names. Mac people are especially susceptible to this kind of thinking.

So much so that they'll fork over an extra grand more than somethings worth.

Asus Laptop, F1 series

It was more an OS issue than anything. It was vista equipped and couldn't handle a single thing else. 2 GB of ram in the thing and it still would hardly budge. Never fell apart though.

 

compaq presario c500 series laptop celeron mcpu 520@1.6ghz and 2 gig ram

basically a cheap piece of crap but it hasnt let me down in three years and it was a refurb so I only paid like $275-ish for it.

 

hp pavilion a6 130n pc with a 27 in monitor and a bad ass sound system...ive had it for 3 yrs and only 1 virus... alot of people talk shit about hp, or is it dell, not sure but.... this one has done me good so far

 

I got mine with an i7 and 4 gig's of ram, and a gig geforce graphics card.

I don't play video games, but I do video editing which is really intensive. Otherwise I'd probably have just gotten a nice refurbished laptop.

I got a swank student discount though.

 

Macbook. Was my first Mac, and I will never go back to PC. Spendy, but well worth it IMO. Just my 2 cents.
