There have been many times where I think some occurrence is "bad" but then it ends up fitting together to create something good. You can generalize "good" and "bad" , but the truth is life is much more complicated. In the end I just have to admit that I don't know how all the puzzle pieces will come together and just trust God.
(a) depends upon the definition of everywhereness; (b) is your synthesis an observation about experience in life or a priori? (c) is Good being everywhere for all it's treatednes for virtuous, analytical reasons, worth believing in? (d) but this is common knowledge to take head of for the common disheartened. like Elvis said it: thank you, thank you...
It is my postulate that good is not recognized by us by virtue of our use of an arbitrary "scale of goodness" that is metered and dispensed as relative worth, rates of exchange, mammon. It is an authority problem. Who do we believe? God who created the world and judged it good, or human authority that believes you must "exchange" yourself to "earn" goodness. We do not overcome evil but gain mastery through love.
Another synonym then. God = good = reality It is a teaching that became a practice that became a demonstration. I teach as I am taught. What is real cannot be threatened, this is the peace of god and peace is no small thing. A mind without anxiety is wholly kind. We find those most agreeable whom we agree with.
So let's see, hmmm. God = good = reality Fiction can be really good. So, Fiction = good and good = God then God = fiction Interesting point you're making.
Well this is not the point or formula that I am presenting. Fiction by definition is a tale that is not reality. You were not listening. Fiction cannot be good, only god is good.
Are you speaking for me waterbrother? Am I not allowed a voice? Again. Only God is good. God is love. Love is good. God is good. God and good are synonymous terms. I am not implying that God is less than loving. I am saying that God is the only measure of good, the only authority on goodness.
God is the infinite absolute; the alpha and the omega. Good is on the other hand a concept of agreement with the in itself and for itself. So I think that once one stops believing in God, He no longer is the good, but the Good is still to wish for in that unreached for, out of touch something or other; again we believe It; we call It God. You wanted me to write that, thedope: that you tempted me to... No?
Anything that IS is good? I think it's a confusion of the word good. Good is one story, but it has its counterpart. The counterpart evolves and gets out of proportion, and thus loses godliness. (Although I prefer not even the word God). Likewise many forms of good also evolve, and lose godliness as well. It would appear then there is the duality of belonging to the whole or not, but not so, those not part of the whole ARE fiction.
I fail now; Take Earth Day. I shall call this the Fatwa decree of the Green Party of Canada. "Encouraging news for modern day activists, the issues we debated and discussed forty years ago have largely been resolved. LIFE magazine that week had a headline proclaiming “Lake Erie is dead.” No, it is alive once again. Phosphates in detergents, causing serious eutrophication in the Great Lakes, have been banned. DDT is banned. Lead in gas has been outlawed. Ozone-depleting substances have been controlled. Acid rain has been largely eliminated as a threat through government action in Canada and the US to cut sulphur dioxide emissions by 50%. We now face a globally pervasive threat that we didn’t talk about forty years ago. The climate crisis is a clear and present danger and there has never been a greater need for public awareness, education and mobilization. JOIN US for teach-ins celebrating Earth Day’s 40th Birthday! Let us know if your community wants to hold a teach-in. If you cannot find a local expert in science, green technology, policy and practical tips for individuals, let us know and we’ll try to help. We have Inconvenient Truth DVDs, climate change primers, fact sheets and power points, and copies of Global Warming for Dummies that you can sell and use at your events (more information coming soon!). Email earthday@greenparty.ca for more information." Thank you, thank you; case for Hegel and also Ralph Nador.
Oh I'm listening all right. So, there is no good fiction. I would have thought otherwise and think many would agree with me but anyway let us examine more closely your formula. So let's see, hmmm. God = good = reality Reality = murder, genocide, child abuse = good = God An interesting God you worship. One would think that those are qualities of Satan and not God.
Oh, you have voice enough for two. The trouble is you don't seem to understand the implications of what you are saying with it. You keep saying that God and good are synonymous terms, which is just not true. Like I already pointed out a square is a rectangle but does not mean that they synonymous terms, because not all rectangles are squares. In any case, your whole line of reasoning seems to be based on a mistranslation. (Mark 10:18) Jesus said to him: “Why do you call me good? Nobody is good, except one, God. (Luke 18:19) Jesus said to him: “Why do you call me good? Nobody is good, except one, God.
But if our Biases are capable or thrown into the DAS of futurity somehow of Absolute Freedom, then there is no choice but the conclude that God is equal to Good and not either justice or beauty. Holiness, on the other hand, only gods know for now. The Gods will judge who is Holy today. I hear that Ukr-Cdn isn't really the same person as thedope.
There is fiction we enjoy and fiction we do not enjoy. There is an air temperature that we enjoy and air temperature we do not enjoy. 200 degrees is not a "bad" temperature but it is too warm for the functioning of our body. Helpful is a matter of timing. So let's see, hmmm. God = good = reality Again, not my formula. Reality = chemicals and joules = good. "It's desire is for you but you must learn to master it"
