<code>"Global warming, or climate change, is a liberal conspiracy devised by Al Gore, treehugging hippies, and the electric car industry in order to gain political and financial power and to create a new carbon tax. Some argue that no one has ever actually seen global warming, pointing to the fact that said hippies probably imagined it while on LSD. (Plus, don't forget that there were at least 6 or 7 ICE AGES over the course of Earth's history.) All we have to do is keep burning shit, and we'll have enough carbon dioxide in the atmosphere to really change things. In fact, if another Ice Age does occur, then warming the earth with emissions will help reduce the catastrophic temperature drop."</code>
Contradictory evidence: "Global warming, or climate change, is a liberal conspiracy devised by Al Gore, treehugging hippies, and the electric car industry in order to gain political and financial power and to create a new carbon tax. FACT: In a 1996 report by the UN on global warming, two statements were deleted from the final draft. Here they are: 1) “None of the studies cited above has shown clear evidence that we can attribute the observed climate changes to increases in greenhouse gases.” 2) “No study to date has positively attributed all or part of the climate change to man–made causes” http://www.friendsofscience.org/index.php?id=3
You know, I have been doing green policy within the context of business at university and for a while I have been arguing the same thing. Although most believe Global Warming in an issue, it really isn't. On a time scale, in terms of catastrophic effects, it will never happen in the small amount of time some idiot has suggested. It's so unrealistic. I do believe protecting the planet for the sake of it is good, as there could be long term side effects, but nothing I doubt that will effect the human race. There's evidence the O Zone is amending itself, which is surprising considering our emissions are sky high allegedly. For every fact condoning GW, there's one repelling it, we just don't hear about the latter for some reaon I do believe though that deforestation could effect a finer balance and make it happen quicker than it should- instead of a 100 millions years it might take like 50 million. Considering the likelihood is we could all be blown up by a nuclear device at any point, I rally doubt we have to be worrying ourselves over Global Warming. End of, a red giant can last one million years. That's a star at it's most volatile and definitely its most hostile. Look at the relativity of all the time spans for all huge events in the universe. Venus, furthermore, has an atmosphere thick with greenhouse gases- that has taken billions of years to cumulate and it's mostly down to the place been much warmer and it's spin slower. But, there's the answer to the riddle- it's taken BILLIONS of years. Not fifty! The Controversial Being
"...and for a while I have been arguing the same thing. Although most believe Global Warming in an issue, it really isn't. "Being an issue": is that meaning of what scientific projects to perform for the eco-political cause of information?
The last few years have proven without a doubt that global warming is very, very real and happening much faster than even the alarmists were saying a few years ago. I think you have to question the motives of anyone who still claims it isn't happening.
Where do you get yours? It's so good. (Notice the lack of argument and evidence in my sarcasm is similar to the lacking of your own )
Im a storm chaser and passionate about meteorology since the late 1980`s. So Im on the big english- frensch and german language meteo and climate forums daily, in the german one I have written over 5000 posts about meteorology. So there I follow the discussions about the climate very closely and daily, as well as anything serious published on the topic, I posted some updates on the weather situation in the other thread if you are interested. Much of the data available is falsified to show a man made global warming.
