Vampires sucking us dry, more like.

And, strangely enough, they do claim descent from Vlad Tepes, AKA Vlad the Impaler, AKA Draculae, son of Vlad Dracul, AKA...well, you can guess.

    Coincidence ?:)

lol, you really dont like them do you?
im not to keen on the queen, i never watch her xmas/new yr speach...
i doubt she even writes them herself, or that she really knows what goes on/ how it works beyond her palace walls.
i just think william is more up to date and clued in. im not saying he'd manage on 60£ a week, but he is with the times..
i really like your idea tho, it should be put into practise for a try...

Does it show ? There goes my chance of a knighthood...

What times, the 1920s ? They all live in a bubble, I dont believe they could exist outside it.

i dont think the queen mum is quite as stupid as some people think she is. She knows nobody in their right mind would want him as their "king" maybe she is just busy trying to keep the locals happy that she doesnt have the luxery of time on her side

The Queen Mother is dead...she died several years ago, I distinctly remember the funeral...or are we back to the vampire thing again ? Interesting story, though - and an indication of how our so-called betters really work - a story that broke back in the 1980s ...

The Queen mother's family name was Bowes-Lyon. It was discovered that a couple of elderly female members of the Bowes-Lyon family, cousins of Mrs Windsor, the present queen, were incarcerated in some asylum, victims of those good old recessive genes...apparently they were pretty much vegetables.

So ? Well, it turned out that according to official records, both of them were supposed to be dead...they'd been declared dead in the 1940s, I think, presumably on the grounds that they were an embarressment to the royal family.

Who made that decision ? Who knew about it ? Who condoned it ?

And how many other embarresments has it happened to ?

Makes you think, eh ? Or it should do...

intresting, but that should hardley come as a surprise, wich dosnt make it right by all means. do we really wanna know how many cover ups the royals, or politicians get away with,,,it make me sick just thinking about it.
what is deemed wrong in their circles, we find perfectley normal...
like marrying a divorcee, or someone from a diffrent religion. but it still dosnt make them better, they are just creating problems for themselfes.
i hope it will change one day. so get wills on the throne i say! :)

William and Katherine will announce their engagement in June (allegedly). I'd rather have the Royal Family than President Blair any day (or President Sarkozy, President Bush, to name two others).

Yes we DO want to know... especially if they're re-writing history. Lets face it, if this bunch were "commoners", they'd have been on every social worker's "at risk" list. Dysfunctional with a capital D.

Dream on... that's not change, that preserving the status quo. Give your forelock a good tug.

The difference being that you would get the chance to vote for a president. It's not imposed on you by some supoosed ancient right.

And - as I've noted elsewhere - an elected head of state doesn't have to be a political role. A non-royal, non-political head of state - why not ?

I DO know, and I can and will tell people... to that end, I've spent the afternoon putting together a thread, concerning the cases of 4 20th century royal relatives and how they were treated for not coming up to scratch - literally airbrushed out of official history.

    The thread is here: http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?t=397559&f=606

If it makes anybody think about manipulation of history, the royal family or republicism in the UK, it'll have done its job.

    Vive le revolution !
