My Friends, what we've got here is a movement! And all you have to do to join is to crash one of Sarah Palin's Tea Parties, all hold hands and start singing: You can get anything you want at Alice's Restaurant, You can get anything you want at Alice's Restaurant, Walk right in it's around the back Just a half a mile from the railroad track You can get anything you want at Alice's Restaurant!
"If you stand in front of the draft board by your self and sing it they'll think you're crazy and you won't get drafted. If you go in with a friend and sing it together, they'll think you're queer and you won't get drafted. If you go in with 2 friends they'll think it's a movement." Peace Out, Rev J
Well that--- and the delicious irony that they would disqualify someone from joining the military (in order to kill) because having faced a judge on the charge of littering (and creating a public disturbance) "proved" that he wasn't morally fit to go into combat and kill strangers. I think there was a bit of a sub-punchline concerning officer "Obie" and his extraordinary effort in gathering evidence and attempting to secure the prosecution of kids because they had littered- only to have his efforts thwarted because the judge presiding over the case was blind. It was about a town so quiet and peaceful that "Obie" may have sought professional validation by making a mountain out of a molehill... and in doing so reduced the pool of eligible military inductees by one.
Well hey, he went to a lot of trouble putting together those 27 8X5 colored glossy photos with the circles & arrows and the paragraph on the back of each one!
