Iam an Eclectic Wiccan And I am proud of that. I celebrate the Sabbats and such with my aunts coven. I do not practice magick as I am kind of afraid that I will make a mistake and hurt myself or someone else. I do a lot of reading about different religions on the internet including catholosism and such. Im not posting this for any real reason other then to open up so ppl can get to know me better *cheers*
Hey.. welcome here as well I pretty much get where you're coming from.. I only did one spell sofar and the reason I don't do more is because I'm afraid of 'side effects' for others or myself.. plus I think things do have a certain meaning so it's not really ok to try and alter too many things. The spell I did was for a friend of mine that had a lot of trouble sleeping.. I did a tiny spell to make him more at ease, gave him some herbal tea and burned a big candle for him (I lit it every night untill it was burned down).. plus I told him about it (yeay for selffulfilling prophecies and whishfulthinking). Anyway.. I don't know what caused it but it seemed to help. I suspected it was a sign of more deeper problems and visualised them going away while I lit the candle etc.. and he's doing way better now.. getting out of the house more, enjoying his vacation, has a cheery vibe instead of a sad one so.. whatever made it better.. yeay!
Merry meet I'm eclectic wiccan too, but prefer to say pagan (same diffrence, it's just my preference) kind of new to the whole shebang, but it's going pretty well so far. No coven, just some like minded friends (though we don't worship together). I like being a solitary though, never have played well with others Never done any spells eithier, no for fear of anything (who dares wins, and such) just never really needed to. I studied plenty of religions in school (it's compulsory in the UK) and enjoyed learning about the beliefs of others. Never truly connected with any apart from paganism, and that was all my own work.
