The definition of conjugation has nothing to do with the definition of god. The definition of conjugation has to do with the fact that the word god has many conjugations. The definition of conjugation was brought forward because you thought conjugation only dealt with verbs, that the word god did not have "conjugations as such".
Point is there are many uses of the word conjugation and again, the root definition, to yoke together, accounts for all the varieties of it's use.
so ... god is good god is love god is light god is above god is glory good glory , a child is kissed by the love light from above .
There is no definition for conjugation that fits how you are trying to use it and the word God still does not have "conjugations as such".
Is there any possibility of you accepting change in your mind? Where conjugation applies to god even as you feel it now.
Its none of your business if he changes his mind or not. Another person can't change someone else's mind. Change comes from within.
Based on what evidence waterbrother? I have demonstrated by definition that what I am saying is correct.
As above so below is the main idea behind this thread and discussion if I am not mistaken. If that is true, what role would Jacob's ladder have in this discussion? Has the vision of Jacob been fulfilled? It seems to me that Jesus did not believe this is so, but did believe that it will be fulfilled at a later time. That later time is after he returns and all matters discussed to take place have taken place. To me, Jacob's ladder represents the earth rejoining with God's kingdom. Even without Jesus' words, we can see that this cannot be a reality because this life is riddled with issues that I believe would not be pertinent if the Earth were co-joined with the kingdom of God. As above so below? I don't see the connection.
I'm sorry, perhaps I missed it. Here are the definitions you gave: con·ju·ga·tion [kònjə gáysh'n] (plural con·ju·ga·tions) n 1. grammar inflection of verb: the different patterns of inflection of a given verb 2. grammar group of verbs with same inflections: a group of verbs that use the same patterns of inflection 3. grammar set of verb inflections: the complete set of inflections for a verb 4. act of joining together: the act of joining or uniting, or the state of being joined 5. biology reproduction in simple organisms: the simplest form of reproduction, in which two single-celled organisms such as bacteria or protozoans link together, exchange genetic information, and then separate 6. biology fusion of nuclei: the fusion of the nuclei of a male and a female gamete in algae and fungi 7. genetics pairing of chromosomes: the distribution of pairs of chromosomes into the four nuclei produced by the division of a parent nucleus 8. chemistry alternation of number of bonds: the occurrence of two or more double or triple bonds in alternation with single bonds in a molecule Root meaning; from the Latin conjugare to yoke together. Maybe you can point out which definition you are using and how it applies to how you used it. "It most certainly is a current and useful definition that accounts for all conjugations of the word." That word being referred to being the noun "God".
You don't see the connection because as you have stated you have a preexisting belief that prevents you from a whole consideration. We measure information against preexisting conclusions. The reason this material became accessible to me is because I asked for it. I asked for it because after 30 years of my own sorting out and praying I still would find myself in abject misery. I finally decided there must have been something that I missed, if I did not know the peace that God promised, all I had was belief in a promise. So there was a moment in my life where I took a stand. I decided that no measure of learning I had had at that point had taught me anything. Leaving all visible means of support I concentrated only on discovering the peace of God. I discovered that I had many unexamined assumptions about the world that were simply not true, but caused me a great deal of consternation. I saw that many of my brothers held these same worldly indoctrinations and they have the same deleterious effects on them. I don't remember Jesus saying anything about jacobs ladder. But as far as jacobs dream being fulfilled, Jesus came to fulfill the law. What ever is loosed on earth is also loosed on heaven. Heaven and earth are diametrically opposed perceptions of the same phenomena. The kingdom of heaven is at hand. It is within your grasp. The time it takes for this to be accomplished is only an instant. God comes in the blink of an eye. Only the time you take is optional.
The conjugation of conjugation that applies is #4. Whenever you use a word in a certain context, you are joining that word in function and meaning to that context or circumstance, this is a particular conjugation of the word in question. Further, all of the particular conjugations, are over all defined by the root definition. Likewise, the word god has many conjugations, or situations where the word can be used appropriately. God is a supernatural being in one conjugation, and god is a statue on a shelf in another. Both of these Gods are in turn, "that which is invoked".
i think the human god-idea is a conjugation (joining) of attributes . in the old times , king david had a tribal god who would slay enemies . jesus came along and say no the one father is neither a tribal god nor has the attribute of slayer , and anyway , love your enemy . should you be so cool as to assign no attributes to god ? fine . you may find it adequate to reflect on the attributes of jesus as told in the stories of his life . be good , child . rest in the arms of a desert goatherd . in this our home , god is within the whirlwind , god's breath is upon the earth . be amazed . upon the breeze , may you receive a beautiful feather . beautiful is our feeling : axiology
I can see that you are "Leaving all visible means of support" for what you saying. It seems you have a need to prove what you say, no matter what you have to say or do. Instead of just saying you are misusing the word conjugation and use something else, you have to try and prove that you are right. This same attitude seems to overflow into all you say. Which seems to prove would rather get involved in "debates about words" even in things that have little or nothing to do with worship, rather than just talk about God wants of us.
Jacob's “ladder,” which may have looked like a rising flight of stones, indicated that there is communication between earth and heaven. God’s angels ascending and descending on it showed that angels minister in some important way between Jehovah and humans who have his approval.—John 1:51.
Waterbrother, I have no need to prove what I say. Further I have said that no one should believe what I say, but put the words to the test. This particular discussion is not about proving what I say, but to help you comprehend what I am saying, because you are not comprehending what I am saying. If I am indeed misusing the word conjugation then it would be helpful, would it not, for you to explain how I am misusing the word conjugation. Which "attitude" would that be waterbrother? What about what God wants from us waterbrother? I asked if you loved me. You said you didn't even know me. You said the litmus test for whether or not we were disciples of Christ is whether what is said matches what the "bible says." But as tanasi has pointed out, the litmus test if you will for discipleship is that we love one another.
