First off I have am very sick and I have a card Smoke little and never have much at home I barely smoke and not joints a waste and too stinky fill up apt, but less smoke a 1-2 tokes on pipes hardly no smell. I am top floor no apt on all sides but 1 since I got my card no one said anything about smelling pot in halls ans staircases. I respect others. Now someone moved in and others smoke in staircase. So smoke we all know rises smelling the halls staircase. I don't mind this like smell but when notes saying if again I'm calling the cops no name on note, then I get cops called on me. I have very long hair and I guess that's screams I smoke pot LOL They the cops were fine as long as I had a card and agree its not coming from my apt as well. My landlord said same thing. That's cool but its starting up again and maybe someone else will call again and I told landlord its not my job to say who I just don't want to be bother with it again.

Fuck em! What are they gonna do anyways? Start sending you notes with bows and arrows? I hope you are feelin better, and good luck with your nosey neighbours. I am moving into an apartment soon, and hopefully getting my green card (temporarily of course, since I've only obtained a spinal chord injury and I'll only need it about an other year) so I hope I too don't have to deal with this. I hope all goes well with those pesky neighbours of yours!
If both the landlord and the cops have told you there isn't a problem, why are you worrying about it? So some head-up-their-ass neighbor calls the cops... who cares? If you hadn't already mentioned the cops being fine with it, I would have said make sure you go talk to them (with a witness) and explain (and prove) you have your card for exemption. That way when the neighbor calls, the cops will already know who you are. Cops can make your life hell, even with you having your card. They can claim they didn't know you had it and were just acting on a tip about possible illegal activities. Making sure they know that you are exempt may not stop them from harrassing you if they want to, but it will give you a leg to stand on in court. "Your honor, two weeks before the 6 cops kicked my door in and ransacked my place, I went with this witness here and informed them of my address and exempt status, precisely in order to avoid this situation."
have you let the manager know that OTHERS are doing it in the stair well? maybe he could do a patrol or something, even a fake camera there would go a long way. im all for freedom of the smoke but i do believe that it should be done in the privacy of a home so someone that doesn't want it around don't have to have it around
Its just the point I dont need to have to deal with time from timeeven if its ok. I dont rat on others not me.
If there are more notes, put a NICE note on your door. "Dear anonymous Neighbor, I understand that the smell of marijuana smoke can be annoying to some people. I'm not the one smoking in the stairwell. The police and the landlord have checked me out and agree that I am not the source of the offending smoke."
