I started this thread cos if I have to read another thread about some 60s or 70s bands I'll crack up those threads are gone beyond a cliché at this stage! There's no point about posting about modern bands apart from Radiohead cos most people are stuck in a time warp. So anyway if you like electronic music let everyone know what stuff floats your boat. I love alot of Drum N Bass and fucked up Aphex Twin style stuff but my main love is electro the likes of Bass Junkie, DMX Krew, Ellen Alien, Andy Weatherall, Radioactive Man, Decal, Unknown Dj, Drexciya etc etc Also like some of the more fucked up end of techno such as Surgeon, Mark Hawkins, Jerome Hill, Neil Lanstrumm, Christian Vogel etc etc. Basically the more fucked up and twisted it is the better!
personaly i like industrial skinny puppy,KMFDM,alien sex fiend, caberate voltiare, throbbing gristle, ministry, pigface

Man there's more, check out the Drum & Bass appreciation thread! http://hipforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39013
seeing underworld a few years back really sticks in my mind...the energy, seeing the sound actually produced instead of dj-ed. What a great time that was.
Underworld are brilliant live, I had the pleasure of seeing them live twice, both times outdoors at big music festivals. I also got to see Orbital last summer, they were absolutely fookin savage!
Anyone like Luke Vibert? He is my favorite artist right now. Besides electronic music, anyone here remix video games songs?
Man Luke Viberts Yoseph album is fucking brilliant. If you want some video games like tunes download this set http://www.opaquechannel.com/pabs/DJ_Mike_Haggar_Plays_The_Hits.mp3 There's one tune 29 minutes in I think it is, thats a Super Metroid remix, it has so much bleepy goodness it's criminal.
Kindzadza, PPS Project, Parasense, Pleidians, Astral Projection, Hallucinogen, Talvin Singh, Autreche, Shpongle, Orb, Pete Namlook,Bill Laswell, Tangerine Dream, Brian Eno. Sheez, I don't know where to start. But, yeah, another fan of electronic music here. Just want to throw The Orb into the pot for good shows too. I saw them many moons ago on the first day of the Chem Bros/Orb american tour and It was incredible.
I love the first two Autechre albums, bought all the others up to around 2001 but never got into them. Saw them play live in round about the same time as Orbital and they were excellent. I've seen the Orb live 4 times now first time in 1992 in a small venue and it was really incredible, second time they supported Primal Scream late 92 in a large venue, not quite as good but still exciting at the prospect of seeing PS. Last two times I saw them was in 93 and 94 and it was really dull. Funny how sometimes their stuff works live and some times it doesn't. I think partly due to the fact they made the tracks of Ultraworld and UFOrb more dancey at the first gigs than the album versions, the later gigs they were doing stuff off that awful is it Pomme Fritz album? and more ambient versions of the others, okay for a chill out room but people were wanting to dance.
The one Orb show I went to, the threw down and pulled out all the stops. Funny too, was that they actually played for like 15 minutes with the curtains still down and the house lights on. You could see the Orb fans shuffling around going "hey, wait a minute" and starting to dance. I think it was like a tongue in cheek practical joke or something because the volume slowly increased and at a key moment, the lights cut and the curtains dropped.
