So.... I'm really not looking forward to tomorrow. Thanksgiving is at hubby's grandparents' place and including us, only like 6 people are going to be there...including his mom who is a total nut job. (Last year I got yelled at because I brought an extra pumpkin pie and his mom was offended that I intruded on her holiday responsibility). My family is 4 hours north in Amarillo and there will be my grandparents, brother, sister, aunts and uncles, and even my cousin who's been in Pakistan for nearly a year. Do I get to see any of 'em? NOPE! Hubby has a suck up complex. Damn it all! It's a damn good thing his family doesn't do christmas so we'll get to see MY family for once! Sometimes I really hate holidays. Liz
You shoulda chucked the pie in her face. How's THAT for intruding, BITCH!?! But in all seriousness, I know how you feel. People get insane around the holidays when all everyone should be doing is chilling the fuck out for once. Tomorrow will be over very soon, hope its not as bad as last year.
LMAO Thanks. I hope it's not as bad. His family brings new meaning to the term "Dysfunction Family". I can't even begin to imagine what would happen if more than 3 of them were in the same room at the same time! I actually threatened my hubby with making a Turkey of my own this year and outshining her but he looked like he was about to have a meltdown so I decided not to. We were going to move back to my hometown with my family but things always come up....dammit! Liz
I'm not looking forward to it either. First off, I have to work at 4, secondly, my fiance and I are in a fight and she said she wasn't coming to my "stupid family dinner", and third my team the Cowboys play, and they're gonna LOSE.
