I guess so. Still find it a very strange thing to say, I mean who would believe that because he said it? If it was in scripture, I could understand a little more, but it isn't.

 

Perhaps they did, perhaps they didn't, do you have a source? at the very least put the statement in some sort of context, im guessing it has something to do with religious morality, but you haven't left any information for me to do anything but guess...
