This has been talked about for years. Not likely to happen. Puerto Ricans don't want to start paying Federal income taxes.

Meh, they've had a referendum both in 1993 and 1998 on their status and both times becoming a state lost out. They like their deal, they're U.S. citizens and don't have to pay federal taxes. They get no representation in congress but we generally let them do their own thing most of the time anyways.

 

I kinda like having 50 though.

Let's ditch Nebraska.

 

Or Iowa, i don't think anybody lives there..

Not sure about Puerto Rico as a state. There have been several votes in the past. It may be nice to have another state.

 

How come nobody tries to conquer the whole world anymore? The romans almost had it. I think the USA has a good shot.
