Hello again! Alt. living in cornwall/Devon info please!

Hey again folks!

I'm back, well kinda! I'm staying at Beech Hill still at the moment with my b.f - mid-devon.
Just wondering if anybody has any local info on alt. ways of living and co-housing around the devon/cornwall area! Links, contacts etc! All would be very much appreciated!

Sorry if I'm derailing your thread a bit:&, but I just wondered how you're getting on at Beech Hill? What are your experiences and maybe advice for others so far?

Don't know much about Devon myself exept that a few of my mates came from there originally and some still live there

Heya Claire! how's things wit you?
Been stayin at B.H slightly longer than planned since I'm now with someone who lives there. It's been really great while i've been livin there. Lots of lovely, peaceful people who've made me feel more than welcome. It's nice that I have that, it's made me feel a little more settled with moving too. Knowing such nice people who'll be there for me.
I'm hoping to travel around devon a bit more in the new year, but i'll see how things go.

Woohoo! You could host a Hip Forums gathering at Beech Hill!!! I seem to remember that aga in the kitchen made some really nice toast on the hot plate

When I was there years ago, there were some woofers building a reed bed filtration system for the sewage that looked quite interesting. Did they ever get that up and running?

I think it was working, but had a some difficulty so not really anymore..but i could be totally wrong! Were you a woofer? where else did u go? I'm hoping to do more wwoofing in the new year...I was feelin a bit too unsettled with it, far more than I imagined. I decided I would get myself a flat before venturing off anywhere else..

Nah, I was just visiting friends who used to live there. Jo and Rob, if anyone remembers them. Had a dog called Aqua. But that's going back over ten years now.

 

i have just joined wwoof and will be looking at that area next year some time. if you fancy someone to go wwoofing with then give me a shout.
