It could be GHB as you first said. I know in some areas GHB is called liquid x.

 

so hard do dissolve x in water, precipitation occurs after a while.

 

ghb is often referred to as liquid x. Ive had gbl which is a prodrug of ghb, its nasty tasting but its a good high. Damn I wish I could get g'd up right now.
