I just wanted to share with you a video that I made for my brother who recently graduated from US Army Boot Camp. I wrote a song using the letters that he had written to my mother and father during his time away - no contact but mail is allowed during the 2 1/2 month period. Then I compiled a video to the song that I made on family day, the first day we were allowed to see my brother in over 3 months. So I thought I would share it with you all. I know a lot of people are going to post some mean stuff. I do appreciate the input, but I hope some people can relate to where I am coming from. Thanks again, Nater Here is the link, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DpRcbYrPZKM"]YouTube- "Beautiful April"
That was beautiful and you should be proud of making it and I am sure your brother will be more than proud. It will be something that you all treasure for the rest of your lives. Wishing the best to you and your family. Thank you for sharing this as it made my day better to watch it. Take care
Not only can I relate, I can say in 1963 as an 18 yr old soldier I too stood on that parade field, however I was there by myself and did not have family there. You are to be honored for such a thoughtful gesture. Awesome.
Ah, Relaxin' Jackson. I graduated there. It's K-mart basic training. He looks good. Ready to fight. Hooah.
Nice Video... Fort Jackson, I can't even remember the MOS's that graduate from there..I must be gettin old..ha I was thinking MP..but I am pretty sure that is Fort Mcclellan..I was thinking artillery, but I am pretty sure that is Fort Sill..beats me, I don't know
MP's were there for basic. So were intelligence, medics and transportation. I forget what they train there for AIT, but I'm pretty sure the transportation guys stayed.
Thanks for all the comments. It truly is a day that me, and my family, will never forget. I could not help but imagine all the people who had been on that field, both before and after my brother - it is kinda surreal what goes on. It is amazing that some of you are from there - I guess we share a bond in that way - although I may never personally meet you. I wish you all a wonderful day and wanted to say thanks for checking the video out!!! Nathan
