I just DL the new DREAM EVIL cd and its awesome!!

I highly recommend this band. I though they only had a few good songs in the past when I started listening to them like the first vid I posted but this new CD is amazing!!

I prefer my powerrrrr metal a bit less cheesy, although a well done cliché is always good in this genre!

 

Please, I listened to power metal when I was 15. Between 16 and 17 I graduated to doom. Now I listen to more hip hop than anything and the majority of the metal I listen to is proto-metal/proto-doom.

So trust me, it's just a phase.

 

Hehe, same here! Taste moved from power and heavy to doom and black and this preference haven't changed yet. Also more into proto-metal these days. Actually, I don't check out new power metal stuff at all because of lack of interest. But every now and then I still get in the mood to mix the great power metal tunes of yore in my metal playlist

I never say no to true metal....I like every type of metal....black, power, heavy, death, prog.....as long it has GOOD talent musicians.....well you cant really say that about black metal.

 

You can if they get you hooked with a simple and raw yet intensely atmospheric riff. I also like the out of control drumming and vocals. I just can't get into most death and progressive metal. Live it can be entertaining but that as far as it goes. Don't care about their talent
I really dig a lot of the folky black metal stuff as well.
