Does DMT give you a wetware upgrade?

At Waveform festival I smoked 50% changa with a friend who had never tried DMT before. He had bought 2 hits and wanted someone to share the experience with. So I readily accepted and we loaded up my pipe and I set it alight for him. He took a big hit, held in the smoke and then exhaled and handed it to me. I thought there wouldn't be much left and took the next hit before handing it back. The next second my vision started throbbing, I moved from a crouch to sitting on the ground, thinking OK, wow, this feels like a strong hit. It was early in the morning, dark and we were huddled round a dying fire and I was pretty cold, but as the DMT came on I pushed my physical state to one side to focus on what was happening. I closed my eyes and started seeing visions.

The first thing I saw was a motif that occurred with my last experience with DMT when I did 50% changa at Reloaded festival. But that was a more 'eyes open' experience during daytime by the edge of a stream with lots of overhanging foliage and plants to look at while in the DMT state. But when I had closed my eyes I saw the following motif: a regressing array of mouths arcing into my vision, opening and then enfolding into themselves as they closed in some sort of M C Escheresque animation of impossible topologies. The mouths were connected to tubes which were connected to something else – though what I can't quite recall. This open/close cycle repeated a few times. I also remember seeing what looked like alphanumeric letters fanning out on the tips of plumes from what vaguely resembled the NBC TV network logo, though I couldn't catch what they were spelling out.

At Waveform I saw this same mouth animation again, only this time I then saw round pills with an icon on them appear in the mouths and get swallowed. Then a pulsing, throbbing pink valentine heart appeared within the mouth. After registering this I saw a pulse travel down the attached tubes to an icon of a being below, which visually transformed into something 'better', something more loving and kind – or at least that is the emotional impression I got from the animation. I then got the impression of this transformation causing the transformation of other icons all connected in a hierarchy of nodes by a network of tubes from the being from which the pulse propogated. I got the impression that this cascade was interconnected and transformed icons of not only people, but plants, animals, the planet. I understood this as a message: 'We take psychedelic drugs and they make us feel good, they make us happy and they transform us into better people and connects us with nature' and I thought 'Yes, I know and understand and agree with this, and I know this is a message and you are trying to communicate with me'. I also got a flash of the NBC logo motif, alphanumerics fanning out which I couldn't quite read.

I recognised having seen the same motifs before, and had the impression that this was like a gateway, and this time I stepped through it, thinking 'I want to go further'.

I then remember focusing my intention on communicating with the DMT beings, whom I assumed to be there, although I don't remember actually seeing any. My thoughts were thus: 'I run a website, www.psytranceismyreligion.com and I believe in the holographic nature of the universe and that DMT is a gateway to the extra-dimensional realms of the holographic domain, activating the transmitter which is the pineal gland, allowing us to tune into these frequencies, and I believe that you are intelligent enlightened beings who can teach me. And the intention of my website is to create a religion based on psychedelics and trance induced states, with holographic theory and DMT acting as the agent of reincarnation of the soul as it's cornerstone beliefs.'

I then saw visons which gave me the impression, through fleeting, rapid iconographic transformations that the beings understood this, were excited by it and approved of it. 'Yes you are on the right path' and 'This is what we want you to do' they seemed to say to me.

I then felt a physical jolt and was propelled into a new realm. I became aware of looking at what looked like a holographic heads up display, a hi tech piece of software with various panels and level meters on it, and then I was being shown how to use it. I realised the display was a readout of my physical health with the level meters representing the different subsystems of my body, each tagged with a different icon, and different levels having different colours – like an EQ meter or health bar in a computer game. I then saw some of these meters changing their colours from grey to blue to orange and I got the sense that I was being healed or purified. My focus then moved to another area of the display, and here it seemed that it read out the emotional state of appeared, again glowing heatmaps. I remember focusing on one icon and intuitively felt it was related to my gut, and another to taste. I also had the impression of the heads up display giving me advice by showing me the current health and future direction of relationships through animated arrows and more animated icons as soon as I thought of someone I knew. I had the sense that I had been given a wetware enhancement by the beings – a sort of cosmic iPhone application. I couldn't quite believe it.

I then became aware of tubes from above connecting to another level meter on the display, and lozenges of white being pushed into it, filling it up. I interpreted this as prana energy from the extra dimensional realm being given to me. During this period I started rocking back and forth, moaning regularly. It seemed that as I continue moaning, my moans became more and more resonant in my own ears, until it seemed to crackle with some sort of kundalini energy, my whole body seemed to vibrate with each moan. At some point I remember saying 'Yes'...'Yes'...'Yes I understand'... 'Thank you', 'I will do my best', because I felt the beings had given me a gift, this wetware upgrade, and that this gift was what they gave those that became shamen.

I then experienced some incredible visions which were fully holographic. I remember seeing motifs which I connected with the sense of taste, and most incredibly I saw fragments of 3D normal reality interlaced with those of the luminescent DMT visuals. Through one such shard or rent into normal reality I saw myself in profile lying prone on the ground – my position at the time – with waves of blue energy being received by my body. I also remember seeing an area in the luminescent realm morph into the same pattern in the 3 dimensional physical realm before my eyes.
I then got the impresson of the beings saying 'We will be leaving you soon... We have given you this gift, use it as you will... You know where to find us... Please visit us again'.

I then got the impression of them leaving, tubes disconnecting me from the higher realm and the visuals abating. I started feeling very cold, stood up and looked at the fire. It seemed as though the heads up display of the wetware system was still running because there were luminescent icons still present overlaying physical reality, and there was an icon hovering over the fire telling me how much life the organic matter being consumed had left within it or so it seemed. I got the impression of other icons present, acting as hyperlinks to further, more detailed information beneath, should I wish to navigate there. But the fire was dying so I walked over to another fire behind which the film of Princess Mononoke was being shown via a projector. I sat down in front of it and again saw an icon within. I thought, OK, if the DMT beings have given me the gift of the shamen, and because I believe in the holographic universe, maybe I can manifest changes in physical reality. Let me test my powers! So I focused on the fire whilst warming myself, and tried to make part of it move the way I wanted. Crazy as it sounds, it seemed as if the fire responded to my desire a few times. Not quite believing this I uttered a sigh of astonishment, and as I did so a billow of smoke erupted from the base of the fire and rolled towards me. Further syncronicities then followed. A question popup up into my mind, 'What is my mission now that I've been given this 'enhancement'? and then my hearing seemed to focus on the soundtrack to the film, and it was like the answer was the next piece of dialogue in the film. This then happened again with another question, with again the film answering. I couldn't quite believe this was happening.

Then the holographic display and synchronicities disappeared and I was fully back to normal reality.

Since the experience I haven't done DMT again, but feel that the next time I do, I will be taught more about how this holographic wetware application can be used. We'll see hey!

Hmm. Well I wrote all the above over six months ago and I still haven't braved another changa session, even though I have a load sitting in the drawer at home. I haven't had the courage! The above experience was so intense, so mind blowing, it's power has scared me off somewhat. The heads up display hasn't manifested itself again, alas, and whether I really been 'enhanced' is hard to say! That's what it felt like at the time though!

I've recently read Lynn McTaggart's books The Field and The Intention Experiment and Dean Radin's Noetic Universe and their evidence has convinced that psi is a real quantifable effect and if that's true, that we can change reality through intention and it's interaction with the zero point field, isn't that the most incredible news! In my own life I've tried 'channelling intention' to attain personal goals and though I can't say for sure what measure of success could be attributed to it, things have gone my way.

I believe that psychedelics put us in touch more with the fundamental level of the universe, the implicate order if you will, and the fact that we become aware of the fractal nature of the universe when we take LSD is evidence that we're coming into contact with that implicate realm. If channelling intention is also an attempt to connect with the implicate order, or the zero point field, perhaps both channelling and manifesting psi effects under the influence of DMT came provide highly effective results. Anyone aware of any research on psychedelics and psi effects?
