My first time smoking I started to twitch! My whole body would twitch every couple of seconds. The only way i could make it stop was to run around in circles. It only last for like 20 or 30 minutes but it was still super annoying! Is this normal, anybody know what causes this? I havent smoked since because of the twitching.

I don't think I've ever really twitched. Even if I did, there's nothing wrong with twitching.

some Peripheral neuropathy might be the cause, check your gauges see if your operating well enough to smoke weed, I dont think people with ill diets and lack of motivational exercise should being to narrow down symptoms to marijuana smoke inhalation.. just saying..

I was meaning to point out that weed makes you wanna get up and do things, so if you normally dont, the muscles will be itching to do something . like jump around .. :D

i would have guessed that it was related to the speed of relaxing muscles, like when you are falling asleep and you jump or twitch involuntarily. hubby twithces a lot as he falls asleep. it freaks me out sometimes lol.

i've felt like i was twitching before while stoned but later when i mentioned it to my boyfriend (whom i had been cuddling with) he said i'd been perfectly still. so maybe you aren't really twitching! or maybe you really are just antsy to do something.

Oh sweet I'm not the only one who twitches and thumps while stoned. Lol. But no, I don't know what causes this. Perhaps some sort of genetic predisposition.

Yeah, I'd say this is normal. The first time I got high (off a vape-- what was I thinking?!) as soon as I exhaled my wrists started twitching. And I was definitely twitching really badly because I was cuddling with my boyfriend and he was like, holy hell, what is wrong with you? I think it's happened like once since then. No worries though, it'll happen.

The thing about weed is that it is a depressant AND a stimulant AND a hallucinogen, so while your friend could be languidly waving his joint in the air and pushing out slow words, you might be twitching and seeing things. Then the next night it might happen the other way around.

I think I have asked this same question myself.
It happened almost every time I got high when I started smoking seriously. It would last a little while then go away. It freeked me out at firts, but I learned to ust lay in bed and ride the high and go with and th etwitching would almost add somthing to it.
The twitching stoped after a few months (at most). I kind of miss the twitching.

Yeah happens to me sometimes as well. But only if Im really high... but it doesn't bug me that much. Actually it started to happen the more I smoked and the more frequently I smoked, when I was a newbie, I didn't really feel it.
