Some friends of mine did acid on the weekend. There were 10 tabs floating around, and everyone who took it tripped except this one guy, who felt nothing. It was his first time. I've heard of other first timers not feeling anything, and the first time I did mushrooms nothing happened. A lot of people will say stuff like, "Their mind is too closed," and "They are feeling it, they just don't know it." I don't think these are it, because it's quite clear when you are feeling it. And when you're waiting for it to kick in, and everyone else is feeling it, you want it to work so badly, your mind is anything but closed.
Possibly Increase dose. Maybe the way the guy tried to soak it or something, who knows, maybe some of it caught some heat or something....I'm just throwing out possibilities.... Maybe the original dealer was running out of acid and soaked only some hits..
Some trips have no vision changes at all, and some have full blown visuals. Every trip is different(visuals wise).
It could possibly also be bunk. Or like recently, I purchased a sheet and found out later it wasn't even LSD it was LSA. Fuck it though. Charge it to the game.
Wait a minute!, Were they floating around in a swimming pool or hot tub, Maybe the ocean? Well thats your answer right there mate, keep your doses dry until ready to consume. Problem solved.
Yes the original Owsley Orange Sunshine was ALD-52, or was it Nick Sand that made Orange Sunshine? Crap, more research! anyway.. ALD-52 was classified as an illegal substance when Owsley or Sand was on trial for two reasons 1) You have to actually make LSD as a one of the steps to produce ALD-52, so the court determined that he broke the law in the course of manufacture. 2) ALD-52 converts back to LSD-25 in the human body, so again an illegal substance ultimately. So anyone who has taken ALD-52 actually got high on LSD-25 From Shulgins book TIHKAL ALD-52. 1-Acetyl-N,N-diethyllysergamide. This material has been explored in the 50-175 microgram range and there are a number of human trials reported, with varying conclusions. One found that there was less visual distortion than with LSD and it seems to produce less anxiety and was somewhat less potent than LSD. Another report claimed it was more effective in increasing blood pressure. Yet another could not tell them apart. ALD-52 just may have been the drug that was sold as "Orange Sunshine" during the "Summer of Love" in the late '60's. Or "Orange Sunshine" may have been, really, LSD. This was the focus of a fascinating trial where two defendants were accused of distributing LSD, whereas they claimed that it was ALD-52 which was not an illegal drug. The prosecution claimed that as it hydrolyses readily to LSD, for all intents and purposes it was LSD, and anyway, you had to go through the illegal LSD to get to ALD-52 by any of the known chemical syntheses. The defendants were found guilty. And yet, I do not know who has actually measured the speed or ease of that reaction. If ALD-52 hydrolyses so easily to LSD, and the body is indeed a hydrolytic instrument, then these two drugs should be absolutely equivalent in every particular, This is the ergot equivalent of the psilocybin to psilocin argument, except this is an acetamide rather than a phosphate ester.
Wait, I'm confused. If ALD-52 is changed back into LSD in your body, then what's the point of making ALD-52 if you can just make straight up LSD? Wouldn't it just be a waste of time to make ALD-52 if you have to make LSD in the first place to produce it?
Because at the time ALD-52 was legal, but the trial in question changed that. They were trying to use a loophole in the law.
so the subjective reported different effects between ald-52 and LSD-25 should be attributed to set and setting?
"They are feeling it, they just don't know it." People who say that would probably mistake a sugar pill for LSD.
