Hey all, I'm new to this forum! So sorry ahead of time if this topic has been brought about. I have been doing some traveling off and on in the summers for the past 2 years now throughout the united states. Just wondering what most of you do to scrounge up a little bit of cash. I mostly just work through fall, winter, and spring then take summer off. Any of you work on the road? I am very interested. Thank you!
I make jewelry and trade/sell to local metaphysical shoppes and hit up tourist spots and do a little slinging while trying to stay under cover from johnny law. Same with busking, with a guitar or whatever instrument can come up with. If I'm in a bind or something, I'll panhandle or fly a sign somewhere.. it's not too hard. I usually just don't think about money, cause I rarely find a use for it. I broke a six week stretch with holding onto 10$ last year, didn't earn more, didnt spend less.. was just in a really good town for snipes, food, whiskey, trading and camping.
Some people have serious professions like musician or traveling nurse; others panhandle, and some find jobs for RVers are more their pace. Just depends on your pace. Happy trails. I highly recommend the trailer/RV route no matter what.
i work during the fall, winter, and spring while i go to school and save up some cash to travel during the summer and play my guitar on the streets in the cities that have a good enough downtown for people to toss a few bucks my way.
