Why are the natives of this land called native americans? What did they name the land before it became called America? Or were the natives not about naming the land they resided on as apart of what their tribe was about? Is it a conspiracy that they are called native americans instead of their own name? Do you think the land was stolen from the natives? For those who read the bible like I do: In the book of Revelation there is a part in it where it said, "Behold, I come as a thief." On a side note, that can indicate to us that the second coming of Jesus would be based right here in a land stolen long ago from its natives. I bet you can understand where I'm coming from with this if you're into the good book. I wish we could go back in time to stop this land from being stolen, then come back into the present, outside of time since certain of us wouldt exist in this new present, to see how this land turned out.
There were lots of Natives located around the great lakes area, connecting up through Canada and down through to America. All I know is that when French and British settlers came into these parts of North America, it was mainly the French who had a good relationship with the Natives. So good infact, that with help through the fur trading business, the French actually had children with the Native women, and these children began calling themselves the Matis. They didn't call "America" America or "Canada" Canada because they were not specifically focused on controlling massive amounts of land, they were all in their own tribe. Some tribes contacted one another and some tribes didn't, and this is why the first "Americans" didn't choose them to help farm cotton because hey were very difficult to get mass amounts to serve, so they went to other places like Africa. It wasn't until America had it's civil war and Canada had its confederation that generations of Natives were being born in "American" or "Canadian" lands. Natives started calling themselves "Native American" just like the Africans called themselves "African American". We did of course take a fair amount of their land, but we still pay our dues in allowing them to have specific laws that fall to only Natives. For example in Canada, (I'm not sure in America) they don't need t pay their taxes, andhave their own resorts, etc. I'm totally not naming them right, but hopefully you know what I mean. Hope I atleast spread a little light on the subject at hand
thats interesting...ive never thought of what natives might have called their land. it would be very cool to find out though. but honestly about the bible quote, alot of people try to tie alot of things to the "end of time". not saying its wrong necessarily but the bible also states that no one but the Father knows when the end is
Why is it a conspiracy to call them Native Americans? They have actual tribe names, it's no different than calling someone a European, an Italian-American,, ect. It's just a geographic distinction.
...wasn't it the French that sold us most of the natives land for 15 million$ (Louisiana purchase)? Yep...
Because they got here first They crossed the now submerged land-bridge from asia into north america around 12,000 years ago and claimed these previously uninhabited lands for themselves The vikings came next around 1000 AD but they got wasted; and then the europeans came and fucked everyone over Hotwater
well, perhaps. but in the Canadian Fur trading business, they were in fact colleagues. Of course relationships change in time, but that was the first French settlers i was talking about.
Introduction of Alcohol Through the Fur Trade: A Brief Overview http://www.montana.edu/wwwai/imsd/alcohol/Jessyca/furtrade.htm “The people traded anything they owned for alcohol, which left them destitute and defenseless against winter temperatures. This was not quality alcohol. The so-called whiskey given out by traders for buffalo robes and other furs was a lethal concoction of alcohol mixed with anything that would give it colour and substance—bluestone, burnt sugar, castile soap, Jamaica Ginger, Perry Davis Painkiller, tea, ink and sometimes, horrifically, strychnine (a poison).” –Margaret A. Kennedy The Whiskey Trade of the Northwestern Plains
When I discussed how their land was taken ,my republican friend said "well, they weren't using it and we needed it". Alrightey then.
The native people call this Turtle Island. The land did not belong to the people,it belongs to The Creator. For those who have listened to the Hopi prophecy,we can indeed understand where this all is going.
