brightening things up a bit

    Nice site although I'm worried about the boiling water. Lush says you have to mix with water and don't say anything about lemon juice.

    You need something acidic for the henna to release it's dye completely. You can use water, but it will give you a brassy and dull color. I personally use lemon juice, but another really popular method is using a really strong chamomile tea brew (Makes your hair smell good, too!) If you wanna take that route, put in 4 teabags per cup of boiling water, and let it sit for a while until it's cool. You don't want to mix henna with anything hot, it makes the henna release all of it's dye really really quickly and you don't want that because then it won't release into your hair.
