I don't know where yall live, but being black didn't make a difference when you said something. It was all, "You're just being stupid". But now I live surround by a mostly white middle class kids (I'm still poor) who get away with EVERYTHING, so the opposite is true. When the rich kids say/do it, it's all good and oh so funny. But let one of the lower class, or black/hispanic kids do/say and hell breaks loose.

No war but the class war.

My Norweign/German/English blonde hair, blue eyed husband can hide in the dark like no other. It's all about skills.

I really haven't noticed this, all that changes are the targets. Sounds like the described that perfectly.

I've been "hated" on by plenty of rich and poor black people, because they personally think that I need to behave in a certain way that gives them power, including being an unspoken racist and combing my hair. Yes, I'm a target of racism for not being racist.

then, I suppose I've done some foolish, racist things.... like witholding judgement for fear of unfairly judging this bitch who set me up for a chunk of tooth and 3/4ths ounce, because I didn't judge/stab him fast enough, kept telling myself "this is a bad situation" then "you're just thinking that cause they're black!",

I also think what most people don't realize it that.. yes.. while we realize racism is/can be a problem, that they don't realize that some people are still coming from finally being recognize as simply human.
Case in point, how many women get all pissed off to this day if a man does something THEY perceive as being sexist, but fail to realize that hey, maybe it's not as cut and dry as that. I know that I'm quite guilty of that, especially towards white people. "Fucking white people" probably comes out of my mouth about 5 times a day. But to be fair, so does "Fucking black people" and "Fucking Asians". Equal opportunity destroyer. I'm awesome.

Everyone hates me, so it's ok.

See the thing is people are unpredictable, so racial tension can turn into something nasty real fast... if someone with any skin color other than white said "fucking white people" in a manner that seemed directed at me, I'd TRY to walk away.... but be ready to give them some brand new orifices... I already learned what happens when you try to laugh that shit off. And a feeling of being downtrodden gives people a "coming up" attitude, like they have to show those whiteys (or whoever.... slaves are all colors, as are masters. Something that lots of people who think they're standing up for their people or whatever need to learn, as well as some basic principles of culpability) just how hood they are, I see lots of that here, and I have no patience for it.

If I where a vigilante it would be bad for the world at large, I just realized that most people in this world deserve to die, largely for nationalist and racist reasons...

Sooo..if I were white and said that to you, you'd be just fine..? *confused face*
Words don't mean anything to me anymore. It's hard to use words to me. I've been called every name in the book. It's amusing to me now, since that's all people can do. If I feel my life may be in jeopardy, then yeah.. the weapons come out, as they had to do on numerous occasions. But if that's me acting "hood" then so be it. Rather be hood than dead.

But now, it's all about your economic status.. well seems to be. I'm very well hated because I don't have money, and that's by black, white, asian, whoever.

I think in that situation it's more because it's Chris Rock saying it that it's okay.

I think there are a lot of situations where a person may not be 'in the wrong' when they say something about a persons ethnicity/ gender/ gender identity/ age/ etc etc etc, but it's taken the wrong way because these are still very relevant and sensitive issues for a lot of people and for society as a whole.

I like to think that I'm not racist although I'm sure I still have/ use thoughts/ behaviours/ language which ARE racist because I grew up in a racist society and it's often hard to recognise things like that in your own behaviour. So as a rule I just try to avoid saying anything that might be misconstrued. Sure it's tiptoeing and being PC but I'm not afraid to speak honestly and openly about racism and other forms of oppression in an appropriate setting.

See, we're talking about different situations. I avoid trouble with anyone, I'd much rather not fight than fight. When random people of a different color talk shit about my color, as does happen here, it puts me on edge, and I would think it would do the same thing to you.

And there's some people who hate poor people. I've noticed more of the opposite, rich black kids who show up in daddys hummer and try to be as low class, violent, and stupid as they can for one semester, before dropping out and taking daddys hummer back the burbs. And they do this all while calling me a racist cracker, and complaining about the white man keeping them down... keeping them and daddys hummer down....

*edit* I didn't mean to seem aggressive toward you feral, you know as well as I do that speaking sarcastically around friends is a lot different than going and inciting racial tension or violence, and yes, if a white person called me a damn white person, I wouldn't really think much of it, I would assume sarcasm... because it's inharently different when you insult someone with a term that obviously applies to yourself as well.

But frankly, racists of all types and colors are usually weak minded, impulsive, and violent, and those kinds of people scare me, which is why I'm so ready to take them as my enemy. I feel slightly hipocritical saying this, because I do racially profile, but only until I know that people won't hold my race against me... and as I mentioned, I've let my guard down too soon in the past....
