you UK people have it great. CAMRA is up everyone's asses and there's cask conditioned ales all over, while there is probably only three places in town to ever find anything on cask. you people make me sick

I live 10 minutes from the Brains ale factory in Cardiff. That ale is stunning, and it doesn't obviously travel very far so I consider myself a very lucky git in regards to ale

It's my drink of choice, a good ale. Brains SA, Hancocks HP and Newcastle Brown are wonder, wonderful drinks.

 

Smithwicks is the perfect ale...

 

maybe it's because it's bottled and sent across an ocean...but the smithwicks we get here sucks.

there is an awesome place down the road from me that brews their own and has it on cask. i had a dry hopped red ale last time i was there. it was so delicious.
