moving backwards thorough time.

I was all stoned last night and come up with the theory that everyone is moving backwards through time. Heres the logic behind it.

If everything we perceive is related back to past knowledge through the filter of our pattern seeking brain, for example you see car and it reminds you of camping up north with your father when you were 8, then everything you see is only seen that way due to prior knowledge or experience. SO by moving closer to the object of the present you are actually moving closer to your past.

This also brought upon another thought about the future. When i was pondering the thought of moving backwards through time via associations i was in a car which reminded me of an old friend. I then realized that i was indefinitely going to come into contact with cars similar to the one i was sitting in. I then came to the conscious realization that this car will now remind me of this experience as well as my old friend. Therefor i am thinking about when i see this car in the future and how i will react/think when i see it. I do not know where when or how i will come across this specific automobile again but it is almost certain i will and i will certainly relate that car back to the experience previously described. I am now creating neural pathways in the future, therefor creating a small portion of my future while i am moving backwards in time.

It is the past, or more specifically our ability to comprehend it that enables us to gain some understanding of the present.... but it can also narrow our ability and willingness to creatively re-interpret what's going on because via previous experience we have a preconstructed notion of its nature.... a little like freedom being the state of having options- and once a choice has been made, freedom has been whittled down. those who are truly free accomplish nothing at all because they make no choices and commit no acts- hence they remain motionless in life... can there be anything so profoundly constraining as unfettered freedom?

 

There is no such thing as time. Period. There are only moments separated by unconscious moments of sleep.

 

The Native Americans claimed we moved backwards through time. As with vision we can see what is ahead and not what is behind, with out perception of time it is the other way around, as though we were walking backwards.

 

Yes- but what we see looking back is just an illusion and looking forward is speculation the only reality is the present... the infinitely thin slice of now that constitutes reality that instantly becomes the illusion that is history.

 

Do you read Carlos Casteneda at all.

the now is where you center is comfortable.. Its kinda like when your tripping and your like wow this is great, But you always come back here.. This Time is and its elements are the supportability that allow anyone to expand on ita variables...
for instance, This time supports your finding or creating a psychedelic drug-ie LSD or a rocket to the moon. Without this time you could not, It is as this time is not moving at all. This is the element collecting time.. or creating time , Time is what you make it. If you draw something its a something you saved in time(cave painting) you can look back, Its reflection..

What if times continuously starts and stops. Every ten seconds or so time stops for ten million years. And during that time nothing happens at all. Then after that time starts again and everyone lives out the next ten seconds and then time stops. This goes on forever.

 

The Butterfly Effect.

 

I first discovered the Butterfly Effect while sniffing rubber tree cement.. an overly profound hallucinating life, I envisioned I was on the cover a swan song, I was only 11, I had my first fender guitar, I was under a porch, the cricket and locust devoured me, I returned home, it made no sense to me, I got my dog a shepard collie and sat and inhaled some more, I said need to get some more Shep come with me, put the paper bag over his nose, he looked at me, I sniffed some more the freight train though massive in size it seemed small and I swallowed it, it took me worlds away from home, in a garden full of rainbows and colored lights, celestial beings surrounded me and weep, bolts of lightning entangled with wire and golden fences, trees towering and bending full of light and buzzing EIOEIOEIO language, pulsing sensations on the roof of my mouth, awaking to see strange creatures near a car, it was my parents, they are from out of this world, what is this world?, where is my origin from, where is my dog, lets return Shep, I inhaled again to get up and walk around the entire building to a gate it was when i opened the gate it was gone I did not go back..
I still return to this day of awareness of WTF..

 

The future has already happened... time moves the opposite direction through space as humans. We move towards the future while the future moves towards the past.

I can't remember the whole philosophy but I believe it is a mahayana buddist belief

 

At what point in our travel through time to we go backwards enough to precede our conception?

 

I had my first glimpses of Enlightenment while huffing rags soaked in Gasoline. I passed out and destroyed nearly 10% of my brain cells, but as the cells were crackling off into thin air I realized that I'm actually stepping forward by undoing my backward steps. So essentially I'm senseless. My mom woke me up and my Dad was kind of pissed to see me passed out aside a rag of gasoline, but my spiritual indweller told me that this was in fact bonding time.

 

Any experience you had when you were a baby especially the first 2 years of life or so actually do make the brain connections that become ...things that you know. So, yeah I would have to agree with you somewhat... although I got really tired of reading and instead of a simple mind fuck this became kind of a cluster fuck of sorts.

When I seen ET the Movie the following year. I said the kid was sniffing glue and the paramedics came, ET my ass this is stupid fantasy movie made by model glue sniffers.. so was star wars.. hahah , :coffee:

 

I think I see what you're getting at. As we physically move forward through time our consciousness moves backwards. There could be other support for this theory in that older people are said to reflect more on the past so now that they've gone farther ahead they've actually moved further back.
