This guy I know began a DMT extraction and never finished. He got really far though. He completed the 3-part-process of the 2 week extraction using muriatic acid and the root bark. Once he finished and strained out the bark he was left with the final liquid product. All he needs to do from here is finish the extraction by getting out the unwanted chemicals using Naphtha and Lye. Doesn't take long at all. However, when he finished the 2 week extraction and collected that final liquid, the experiment got delayed well over a month. The liquid has been stored in a relatively cool, dark spot. My question is: Can that liquid go bad? Is it still safe to finish extracting?
its fine.. give it a shake... let it settle.. boom.. proceed as you were.. Shake it away from your face please..
Though i would never extract (personal preference) using the method described, i know for a fact your friend is good to go. It could have sat on a shelf for a year and as long as you continue to extract correctly you can't go wrong. Here's why: The chemistry doesn't change and the facts behind it don't either. The DMT is still in the marc (plant soup), the lye basifies and the non-polar solvent causes the magical molecules to migrate over from the marc into the solvent. Be safe. Enjoy! Spicey Cat -Meow!
my friend has the lye but he is very nervous about using it because of how he needs to mix it with water in the jar and shake, occasionally opening the cap to release pressure. it could blow his fuckin' hands off..
